"Sure, no problem." says Fox as she tosses him the branch, "It was our leader, Lonan that came up with the plan. We managed to kill the guy that ran what used to be the U.S. and Canada, when we destroyed it. Soon enough, my faction will free all of North America. Humans will always create governments, but the government should do whats best for the people. This one, is all about protecting its power and greed."
Derek rested his javelin across his legs and took his sharp rock out of his pocket. He chuckled as he worked sharpening the tip, saying "So you must be one hell of a fighter. Might be a good idea to teach some o' the rest of us around the camp."
"I might teach them the basics, but I doudt they will have the dedication needed to learn all of it. I have been dedicated to learning hand to hand combat and using handguns, since I was eleven." says Fox.
Derek's eye's widened slightly as he finished the first makeshift javelin. "Eleven? Holy s**t! No wonder that was your first kiss" he jested. "Here yah go, take this an' toss me another one." Derek tossed the completed javelin back to Fox and awaited a new one.
Pasha smiled at the name. It was similar to his mother’s nickname. He bent down on his knees next to the creature. “Nice to meet you Tatee.” He said. The creature nuzzled against him as he got back up. He sliced of a few pieces of the meat and passed them into Viva’s hand. “You—“ he started. It was storming out. He could feel the wind on his back, it was going to be a rough one. He walked towards their small farm home, with the knife in his hand. He was ready to do what he should have done months ago. His father was going to pay for hurting— His eyes blinked until he realized he was back at the came. “You think… she’ll eat that?” he muttered, sitting down next to the fire.
Tatee was now sniffing at the meat Pasha had brought forward. Viva eyed it, and then smiled. "Who knows. Looks promising." She felt an urge to hug Pasha, but she pushed past the idea. "Playing impassive are we." I'm not sure what to do. "Tip number two for Viva's radio - never act up when unsure." "I can't believe you've dug up a new imagination when I'm there for you." You never give me good advice, please and thank you. "Yeah, and she's really helping." At least she's not ruining anything. "It's the fallin' in love that's makin' me high, It's the being in love that makes me cry cry cry, It's the fallin' in love that's makin' me high, It's the being in love that makes me cry cry cry, All night... all night..." "Now that is helpful advice. Kudos to MJ." Viva then snapped back to reality, eyeing Pasha who seemed to lost in thought. "What you thinking?"
Raylene and Chrys had been resting for awhile, making idle small talk to pass the time. Raylene sat back and put her hand down on the ground to support herself and immediately felt pain radiating up her limb. She jerked it up and shook her hand, trying to make the pain go away. She looked at her hand and sees an ant-like creature with its pinchers deep in the flesh on her palm. "Chrys, I can't get this damn bug off. It hurts!!!!" She shakes her hand again and the creature refuses to release it's grasp.
He opened the door. He could see his father sitting at his chair, staring into the fire. Mother was crying in the background, while his siblings hid upstairs. There was blood on the floor, he was drunk again. He was hitting her. He was cheating on her, like always. He would never change, Pasha would do that for him. He sat on the arm of the chair, and looked down at his father. His fathers eyes barely concentrated on him, as he took a swig of the brandy. “What do you want Pasha?” he growled. Pasha didn’t move, concealing the knife at his side. “I want you to pay for your sins.” His father looked up at him, laughing. But his face quickly changed, to that of anger. Drunken anger. “Mudak!” he said, grabbing Pasha by the chin with great force, “Who do you think you’re talking to like that?” Pasha was quick to react as he brought the knife out, swinging at his father’s chest. Suddenly, Pasha was thrust into reality. He yelled out in pain, his arm was in flames, the knife was in his hand. His grip didn’t let go as he rolled onto the ground, attempting to put the fire out.
Viva yelped, and plunged forward to help him put out the fire. "Oh my!" She spoke saliently, and then brushed his arms with the ape skin on the side. The fire slowly got put out, leaving behind a badly burnt arm. Viva sighed, and looked over to Cevin with a pleading gaze. She then looked back at Pasha who held his knife tightly, as thought a treasure. "What are you doing?! Can't you see?" She interrogated angrily, her heart racing as she thought of what would have happened if he got real hurt.
Chrys was trying to use her claws to get the ant off her hand when they both heard someone yelling. Chrys' ears perked up and Raylene knew she hadn't heard it in her head. "There's someone close by." Raylene forgot about the ant shouted, "HELLO! IS ANYONE OUT THERE?" Chrys grabbed her hand again and removed the bug and squished it. Raylene looked at her palm and saw a very angry bite wound. "Who knew a tiny bug could cause that much damage." She waited to hear a response, both audible and inside her mind.
"What are you doing?! Can't you see?" He looked down, his arm wasn’t burnt any longer. The blood covered it as he continued to stab his father in the chest. The screaming had finally stopped, as his father looked up at him with one last breath. The blood flowed from his mouth, and his eyes rolled in the back of his head. Pasha stepped back, the knife still held tightly in his hand. Blood and flesh covered his shirt and pants. But he wasn’t upset. He couldn’t help but smile. He paid for his sins. He was going to hell where he belonged. Pasha could kill more then animals now, he could get what he wanted from people. Why not? They were just as easy to kill, if not easier. He grinned, until he looked in the kitchen. His mother looked at him with her wide, beautiful green eyes. “Pasha!” she cried out, her hands shaking as she ran towards, “What have you done, son?” Her hand came to his face, as she wiped the blood away. They shook uncontrollably. “No Pasha.” She cried out, as she fell onto her knees below him, “How could you Pasha?” He looked down at her pitiful form as the tears fell down her eyes. Her body shook uncontrollably from the sobbing. He bent down, dropping the knife at his feet. He grabbed her chin gently with his bloody hands. “Don’t cry mother. I’ll make the pain stop.”
Viva blinked in surprise as Pasha got towards, his face blank and lost. He suddenly grabbed her chin, at which she raised an eyebrow. "Interesting. He's hypnotized. You probably imagined something stupid for him." I didn't. Viva waved her hands in front of him, trembling. "Mr. Huggles?" She asked softly, her throat thinning as she spoke. “Don’t cry mother. I’ll make the pain stop.” He suddenly said, his voice naughty and yet mellow. "Great, I need anti-aging all right." Viva raised an eyebrow, and spoke out loudly: "I'm not your mother, please. What's wrong with you?" Maybe his schizophrenia is acting up. "Not good." Why? "Do you know what he did to his mother?" No one knows, I think. "Exactly."
All the blood had drained from Raylene's face, as the bloody scene played out in her mind. She tried to speak, but there was a lump in her throat preventing the words from escaping. 'I don't want to hear this', she screamed in her brain. This was a curse, not a gift, like Reva had said. Only good thing, is she really knew someone was close by, and that someone sounded like Pasha. Finally, she choked out another yell. "HELLO.....PASHA? HELLOOOOO?"
He looked into his mother’s huge green eyes. He had always wanted them, but he had gotten his father’s ugly dark brown eyes. He looked at her longingly, the knife egging him on at his feet. “What do you mean honey?” she asked, confusion written on her face. “I’ll stop your pain.” He said again, the smile appearing on his face once again. He kneeled down on his knees completely, letting go of her face. He leaned in, his arms wrapping around her chest. He closed his eyes, as he hugged her with a great big squeeze. Her jasmine perfume filled his nose, and her hands came to his back. Her hands glided across his sore back, with her gentle touch. It sent a shiver down his spine. In one quick movement, he let go of her, and pushed her away. She fell back with a yell, as he climbed atop her. “Good night mother.” He said, his face emotionless as his strong hands went forward. They wrapped around her neck, and his thumbs dug into her breathing tube.
Raylene wanted to turn off the voice, but she knew it was the only way to find this other tribe. "Why is he thinking about this?" She wailed and covered her eyes. "Chrys, Pasha is close, and he's remembering killing his parents. They have to be right here somewhere, but there's no damn cave!!" She was getting frustrated and didn't want to hear Pasha anymore. "VIVA! DAMNIT ANSWER ME!"
Fox took the sharpened spear from Derek. "Well, I had to start learning it at that age, because that is when I joined the W.O.A." says Fox as she throws the spear at one of the ceaders. It hit him between the eyes and killed the beast.
Derek nodded as his testosterone kicked in. I won't be bested by a girl he thought. Even a combat trained one. Derek put down his javelin, deciding to test his new leg strength. The second ceader looked angry at the death of its comrade and was now shaking the tree violently. He balanced himself on the branch, then leapt forward, rolling as he landed on the other side of the meadow. The enraged ceader turned and charged him, and he leapt up into the air over the ceader once again to the other side of the meadow, next to the tree at which he began. The ceader narrowly missed him and ran into the tree that Derek had been standing next to. The ceader charged him once again, and Derek leapt back up to his branch laughing. "These things are fun to f**k around with," he laughed.
Chrys listened to what Ray was saying, confused, "You're saying that we're neear the other tribe?" Ray responded with the motherly "what the heck else" look. "Gotcha," Chrys winked, turning her nose to the air, hoping they were downwind of whereever it was. She immediately picked up the scent of a killer...That must be the Pasha that killed his family...And there's something else familiar....Ooh, I hope it's not who I think it is...Chrys winced as she asked Ray aloud, "Please tell me the Viva girl isn't hyperactive and prone to doing cutisie things?" Don't let it be her, don't, plaease, not her...
"They were together, last we saw anyway. They left our tribe after the cave got destroyed. Can you find them? I can hear them, but I can't tell direction."
“I’ll stop your pain.” Viva narrowed her eyes at him, and then asked: "What in the - " Suddenly, Pasha hugged her tightly, so hard that she couldn't even breathe. "P-pasha..." She finally said out his name, sweat trickling down her face. Something was wrong - she could sense it. Pasha suddenly pushed her away, and she slammed against the ground. her heart skipped a beat as he climbed atop her, and said eerily: “Good night mother.” Viva blinked in horror as he throttled her. "Pasha! Snap-p out-t of - " She couldn't breathe. She struggled to breathe, her eyes inflamed with tears. She didn't want Pasha to become an animal. She didn't want to lose him to his disease. Things became blurry and the voices in her head became too dim to understand. Her lungs were almost blown open. "VIVA! DAMNIT ANSWER ME!" She heard a scream in her head, and winced as she started to swoon. Help me Raylene... She thought to herself as she almost lost herself to the strangling.
Fox watches him play with the ceader. "Derek would you just kill the thing already." says Fox as she points to the scar on her face "trust me, those claws are pretty sharp, and can kill pretty easily."
Help me Raylene... Panic surged through Raylene. "Oh my God, he's hurting her! CHRYS! WHERE ARE THEY?? We're coming Viva, we're coming." She ran to the side of the mountain, feeling the rocks looking for any sign of an opening.
Ray screamed at her, freaking her out. Chrys grabbed Ray's hand, charging in the direction of the scent, starting to pick up the scent of blood...Somebody's bleeding... Her mind began to run rampant at the point, but part of her focused on the chase...seeming to guide her like autopilot. Breathe the scent, follow its call...
"Alright," Derek said, picking up his javelin. He jumped down to the ground and waited for the ceader to charge him one last time, throwing it at the ceader and striking it in the center of the chest. It fell to the ground before him, and he rolled it over with his foot and pulled his javelin out of its chest. He looked up at Fox in the tree. "Care to stop for lunch?" he smiled.
"Now is as good of a time as any I guess." says Fox. While climbing down, she comes across a group of red pineapples. There was ten of them, bunched together. Using her knife she cuts the branch that held them onto the tree. "Well, I guess I just found our lunch." says Fox.
