    Two scoops of sugar? Or just one? Shoot! He stared at the lake outside the kitchen window, watching the blue and red buoy bobble in the distance and desperately hoping he would his memory brain cells would get activated Grandma Crockett's lemonade recipe, like they had during the history class test today on the Alamo.

    "Don't knock it 'till you hear it." The goth punk told me as she slipped her headphones over my ears. The noise that accosted me from their speakers was like a hangnail: Annoying, ugly, and more than a little painful.
