Enjoying listening to the match. ;D

Nadal seems to be playing well, and I think he has a really good chance of winning with the way he's playing. And now Nadal's just got a break winning 4-2. Woo!

Djokovic is playing really tense right now.

    Nadal has a major sweatup.

    It's currenty 33c and its almost 9pm.

    EDIT

Hope Novak wins the 2nd set. Want at least a 4 set game.

I hope Djokovic doesn't. :p Admittedly, it would make the match more exciting. But as I'm supporting Nadal, it would be better if he won it in three straight sets.

A win in 5 would be much more exciting and much better for the player.

A 3 set game with these two would be pretty unlikely.

You realise Nadal has NEVER lost when his won the first set in a final? Just take that as something awesome!

    That is pretty awesome! ;D

But you're right that a three set match is unlikely. They are the two top ranked players after all.

Djokovic's level of play has really picked up from the first. He's putting so much pressure on Nadal's serve, Nadal basically needs to take advantage of any chance he can manufacture on Djokovic's serve. Nadal is a hell of a fighter, but it's going to be tough for him.

Luckily, it's nearly midday here so I can keep listening to the match.

Seems like Djokovic is just battling through and is making it difficult for Nadal. Hopefully Nadal can come back stronger as it looks like he'll lose this third set.

Maybe it'll be to his advantage that Djokovic serves to open the set- if he can put some pressure on Novak. He's really struggling right now though.

    No more doubting Djokovic anymore.

Nadal really is playing safe now!

Would love to see a fifth, but i'm not sure it'll happen unless Nadal gets passion crazy again.

    Edit

With a hold like that, nice!

Well, it's just started raining so maybe the break of the roof closing will help Nadal. Winning that last service game though, good on Nadal!

Unfortunate timing on that rain delay for Nadal- first time he steals back the course of the match in hours Djokovic gets a rest.

I don't feel like this one will make a fifth.

To be honest based on the balance of play it really shouldn't. But for all the break opportunities Djokovic has wasted this set, it only takes one successful one from Nadal.

Anything can happen in a tiebreaker too.

That is if Nadal can serve to get in.

    12:10am here.

Okay, a fifth set would be cool. Having my second wind. :D

Come on, Nadal, hang in there! I want five sets.

    And we've got a fifth set. ;D

Whoa. Never would have thought this possible half an hour ago. I still think Djokovic has the edge, but Nadal has certainly raised his game.

    Djokovic keeps shaking his legs.

Both have proven themselves winners tonight, no?

Would love nadal to win though.

Djokovic has played a combined 10 hours his last two matches, and Nadal isn't all that far behind. It's hard to imagine how they're still able to make the shots they're making and give this kind of effort. Unreal.

Just when you think tennis has reached its peek, we see them raise the bar. Great to be a fan of the game.

I don't think there's anything in sports right now that can rival the biggest matches between the top male tennis players of this generation. Both semi-finals, and now this final, have been incredible.

I know. It's just unbelievable. We're so lucky we have players of this standard in our generation.

Djokovic really looks fatigued right now. Hope he can still fight on and force it long/

Agreen - I'm thinking of a solo sport which is close and just can't name one.

After all of those consecutive break points for Djokovic, Nadal converts on his first since the 3rd set. That's the difference in the match, and goes to show both how much Nadal has fought, and how fickle tennis can be.
