We have Patriots fans, and posters that hate the Patriots, but I wonder if anyone here is actually cheering for the Giants because they like them?

In hockey news the Leafs are holding down a playoff spot in February, but only tenuously. Time for Burke to decide if he thinks a run is possible this year, and trade accordingly. Given that a few key players are free agents this off-season and Lupul somehow managed to earn himself a raise, this is an important deadline for the team.

My brother, a huge Nick Diaz fan, just renamed Carlos Condit 'The Natural Born Coward.' Between the result of that fight and the Leafs 5-0 drubbing of Ottawa, I'm pretty happy right now.

Come on Man Utd. I'm quietly confident.

I think the Giants are going to win the Super Bowl this year solely because of their amazing defense.

I saw the score at half time and I was like 'oh dear, we're not going to lose again are we'. Luckily, Man.Utd managed to climb back and we drew 3-3 against Chelsea.

I might be an Aussie, but i always have Super Bowl days off.

Neither team i care for this year, thus i think i'll enjoy it more. I think i might follow the Giants. My misses is a Jets fan, so close enough.

    Well...

Hmm...I think I shall do the most American thing I have done in my life. Something I have never done before.

Drink Guinness while watching the Super Bowl.

Giants Cruz into the endzone on the back of the 12th man. Two big mistakes for the Patriots so far, how will the Giants counter?

Wait, you just changed sides. No way can you do that!

Lets hope the Patriots do something with the ball now.

More a bad start for NE, rather than NYG playing great. Though Manning is finding those targets. His one calm bastard.

Bad tackling as well on the Patriots end. But it can't be overlooked that on the only Patriot offensive play, Brady hit the turf. The pass rush is why I thought the Giants would win, and so far they've been the difference.

That and the Patriots forcing a fumble on the same play they fail basic math.

Oh, quicker routes/throws from the Patriots. An interesting tactical move...

Question is, how long until Manning throws an intercept?

Nice run from Patriots in the later stages of Q1. Looked very smooth actually.

    Edit

And yes, those tackles from NE were weak. Loved the comment about how the high school coaches would be cringing with some of the tackles.

Hopefully soon. I mean, I don't want the Patriots to win. But I love turnovers.

Superbowl MVP so far is the Giants punter. Guy's on fire tonight.

In Canada we don't get the special Superbowl commercials, just the normal boring ones CTV always airs, especially infinite promos for Smash.

Loving rhe Patriot defence with the running game, or i should i say lack of.

Who is the Giants punter? His worth his weight in gold. Nailing those punts.

Only thing NY needs are more points, considering they have owned the first half so far.

    Edit

Great minds think alike Agreen. Imagine if a punter won MVP!

    Steve Weatherford for MVP.

And yeah, Giants have wasted some opportunities this half, they've controlled field position for the most part but haven't done enough once they've crossed midfield. This is still more impressive than LSU's miserable effort in the BCS Championship game, in that they've actually crossed midfield.

What a tackle for 3rd down. Show the Patriots how to tackle.

Might not mean much after the next play, but hey.

    Edit

brady had far to much time. Oh well.

Nice game, thought it should not be this close. Danger for NYG.
