The only upside for the Giants defense right now is that they get a lengthy half time break to sort out exactly what went wrong that last drive. Then they can immediately apply what they learned after the kick off (unless the Patriots fumble the kick off, which would be acceptable)

All right! Pats take the lead at the end of the first half.

Half time will be good for the Giants. They'll get a good talk and find some passion.

You just can't have the ball for that long and only get 9 points. Mind you, i've seen far too many Green Bay and Steeler games with fast plays.

Signature bets are the way to do it :p

If the Patriots stage a long drive to open the second half, they'll have a chance to wear down the Giants defense and take over the game. I think it's time for some turnovers.

Compared to the crapfest last year, this hasn't been a bad half time show. Had LMFAO been shot into space during their cameo it may even have been good.

Controversial as it may be, I want a Kanye West half time show next year. He's relevant, creative, and just full of himself enough to produce something either awesome or hilarious.

Can't even remember who did the HT show last year. Wasn't the Eagles?

Last one i watched was The Rolling Stones.

Black Eyed Peas were last year. It's one of the worst things I've ever seen, on par with the opening of this 2nd half.

I don't place bets. But I know it will be a close game between two very tough teams. I am not predicting, but I do hope for a Patriots victory. It would be a woinderful tribute to Myra Kraft. Plus, I'm a long time Massachusetts resident.

God, ugly start for NYG. Not what they needed.

    Manning to man up.

Patriots have shifted to a faster, more aggressive offense, and the Giants have yet to find an answer for it. Without time to get to Brady, their weaknesses are being exposed- much better game plan from New England than in their game earlier this season. The Patriots secondary is notably poor however, so it's on Eli to get his team back into the game.

NYG needs points this run, or else i don't think it'll be so close.

That was almost a disastrous miss for the Giants. If they can keep it within a score they always have a good chance at a comeback. The defense needs to make a stop though.

Sure this defensive run for the NYG will show us whats up for the rest of the game. Well, its a big run anyway.

    Edit

Very lucky fumble recovery. that could have been a killer.

Eli is manning up. Well, somne at least.

The flow of play is turning again, but the Giants need to score a major on one of these drives instead of settling for fgs. Still no turnovers, which is a bit unusual for a Superbowl.

edit: There it is, the first turnover. Equally bizarre and delightful.

I bet Brady wishes he took a sack. Least it's deep in Giants territory and not a major blow. I mean if he pulled that off!

    And now a rumble recovery.

It's been a streaky game so far. Going to come down to who's hot at the end.

Second timeout with 930 on the clock. That is not good.

Until the last throw, the recievers have been brilliant on this Giants run.

It's not pass interference, he's just giving him a hug. There's nothing wrong with hugs, right?

Feel like NYG will lose the game, rather than NE winning it. Just my feeling. Having to call timeouts so far out, recievers running far to near the sidetine with plenty of room etc.

I don't think NE has really had to do anything special today.

Big stop. What do the Giants have left on offense?

Both teams have benefitted from opponent mistakes. Sometimes that defines a game between closely-matched teams.

Yeah- this has been a well played game for the most part, but just about every mistake has resulted in points the other way. Next mistake big mistake probably loses the game.
