The Patriots better beat the Colts this week, that's all I have to say.

The Leafs are now 2-0 since my mini-meltdown on Tuesday :p Never underestimate the power of a good rant

I'm excited and nervous for the Steelers game on Sunday. After dropping two straight, I don't think the Steelers will be as unfocussed as they were last time the two teams played. If Run DMC can get some blocking he might be able to wear that defense out, and I think that will be the key to a Raiders win. Hopefully Asomugha and Miller will be back, because unlike against the paper tiger Chiefs, I find it difficult to imagine a win over the Steelers without our best players on each side of the ball. Hopefully Jacoby Ford will have another monster game.

Here's hoping Machida kicks Rampage's teeth in. I'm sorry, but I can't stand Rampage and Machida is one of my favorite fighters anyways.

The one thing giving me pause is that we really don't know how Machida will be effected coming off of his first knockout loss. I don't think, outside of a strict commitment to wrestling, that Rampage has much of a shot. He doesn't have the speed of Shogun nor the striking technique to follow Rua's blueprint for beating Machida.

This is a much stronger card than last week's, should be fun :D

Hi five, man. I hate Rampage. It seems like he's more interested in blustering around like he's a terrifying fighter than actually putting in the work to continue to be a great fighter. It'll be nice to watch him lose to Machida.

I just hope that Rampage is able to put on a better showing than in his fight with Evans. I think that if Rampage wins it will be by knockout, and if Machida wins it will be by decision.

For some reason, I'm not as excited about the Hughes vs. Penn fight as I think I should be. *Shrug*

Two other match-ups that I'm interested in seeing are Sotiropoulos vs. Lauzon: I'm thinking George is going to take it. And Munoz vs. Simpson: I'm not sure who to pick on this one. Munoz has heavy hands, but I think Simpson has better wrestling.

I also noticed that Karo Parisyan is fighting on this card. I hope he's dealt with the personal stuff that he was struggling with, because I used to enjoy watching him fight and am hoping for some sick judo throws during his bout. If we get to see it that is.

Probably because BJ Penn is lame. ;)

Truthfully, this whole fight night for me is just the undercard to the GSP/Koscheck fight. It's like waiting for MMA Christmas...

I'm disappointed that both Tyson Griffin's and Karo's fights are on the pre-lims, and not even the Spike pre-lims. Especially considering two relative who-dats are on the main card over them.

I hate both Hughes and Penn. Toss in Koscheck and Sonnen, and you have all of my least favourite fighters. But I'm looking forward to the fight. It's going to be interesting, especially because I think this could be it for Penn. His last two fights he seemed disinterested. If he can't motivate himself to fight the immensely hateable Hughes, he may as well walk away from the sport. So I have that to look forward to. But if Penn decides to fight, I get to see Hughes get styled on again. Either way I'm happy.

Today shall be a good day. I'm going back to boxing training after a three month hiatus (I'm lame, I know. I blame college >.>) and after that, I will see Machida give Rampage a lesson in how to take a beating. Hughes vs. Penn doesn't really interest me. Penn I don't particularly care about and Hughes kinda annoys me.

Also, I want to see Machida use some knife-hands (the infamous karate chop) in his GnP on Rampage. For the lulz ;)

Today my brother's soccer team played another soccer team that contains the majority of his old team. Both teams are made up of boys from different and all of them know at least someone on each others teams-needless to say all these friendships made this game one of those friendly rivalry type games.

My brothers team played FANTASTIC. This was truly one of their best games, for the entire team. The comlpetely outplayed the other guys and won 2-0. It was awesome to see them win to because a large portion of my brothers team tried out for the other team first and did not make it. Though im really glad now he got on the team he did he went through alot of drama and a huge ordeal during the tryouts for both teams and it felt wonderful to beat them and play so well. It was really a fantastic game to watch and it was really awesome to see the boys playing so well, I'm really proud of them :D

Damn, how about that George Sotiropoulos? What a finish.

Edit: As much as I hate BJ, that was a very satisfying fight. If this is the last I ever see of Hughes, that's exactly how I want to remember him.

Everyone in my apartment was yelling at the TV after BJ knocked Hughes out. If Rampage wins, I'm going to be so upset...BJ winning is bad enough.

Edit: What??? Ahhhh, Rampage winning is some BS.

I actually agreed with the decision- Machida decisively won the third round, but I gave Rampage the first two rounds based on aggression and his takedown. Pride rules, Machida wins by unanimous decision, but under the Unified Rules, I think that was the right decision. Even though Machida was the better fighter overall.

I managed to sleep through most of the ISU Cup of Russia today... but now the Improv on Ice show is on... not necessarily sports, I guess, but I love it! :) It's so fun to see your favourite skaters show so much personality, wear normal clothes, perform to contemporary music!

It was so much fun to see Jeremy Abbott, who, when he isn't nervous, is unbeatable, let loose and have fun!

Dear The Raiders: I'm not mad, really I'm not. I'm just confused. Not that you lost to the Steelers. But that your effort was so poor. What the hell did you do over the bye? Clearly, it wasn't getting ready for football. Do better next week!

I couldnt watch the game. I'd just got home at 5 in the morning and was far to seedy.

I may haqve to watch a replay, but if the raiders played poorly, i think i'll skip it.

What did i say about the Steelers though. Games which should be good, so their way. Games they SHOULD win, they...don't turn up.

Big few weeks for both teams though. They need to find something big time.

The Pats/Colts game is waiting for me on the DVR. No! Do not tell me the score, no matter how awesome my team may be performing. ;)

I am VERY happy today. :D

It's difficult to imagine that people thought it would be a Vikings/Packers race, when instead it's turning out to be a race between the Pack and da Bears. I am overjoyed with how my team played today -- fantastic defense, able to hold the Queens to just 3 points! And the offense lit up the way they know how, Rodgers threw 4 touchdowns and Flynn got to stretch his legs a bit! :D

I would've posted about the game before this, but apparently my new superstition this year is to not mention the Packer game at all, not online, not anywhere, until it's over, and then I can. I don't even know. So I would be posting a lot more... it's just that I apparently have developed a "mum's the word" superstition.

31-3, and sweeping the Vikings. I am absolutely overjoyed. :D I would feel bad for them, especially Favre -- honestly, I've tried to feel bad, but I just can't -- except they did the same thing to us last year and that's how this league goes! I've tried feeling bad for Favre, but really, he and the Queens have shot themselves in the foot this year, and it's not my part to feel bad for them because of their own bad decisions.

Next week is the Falcons. Should definitely be another good game, and hopefully we can keep this momentum and mentality going.

TESSIE91 SHOULD NOT LOOK UNDER THE SPOILER.

I hate the Patriots vs Colts games. Regardless of who wins, it's always stressful. Every time, I just end up wanting to bash my head against the wall. It pays off when we win, but I get so frustrated when we don't.

    WE WERE SO CLOSE.
No excuse. At the very least we should have gone to overtime.

Well basically the Raiders coaching was awful, Jason Campbell was awful, Richard Seymour was awesome, and Bruce Gradkowski was betrayed by his receivers. Who were awful.

Considering the Steelers are having mid season blues once more i can't imagine you being wrong on the above.

I will have to watch this when they hve the replay. Though i think i'll probably be disgusted with it. A win is only worthwhile when its a fair game.

And so far, im far from happy this season.

Dear God, Clark, do you ever ****ing learn? FIVE changes, three to the back five? Different goalkeeper, different right-back, different central defender, new central midfielder and different striker. A consistent team = consistent performances. Chopping and changing = poor form and poor results.

Makes Rafa Benitez's tinkering look mild by comparison.

    Ah, a hidden nemesis. . . I pity you. :p

That game was too close. But you don't want to be in the same room with my father. He doesn't swear, but every ejaculation of misery and euphoria vibrates the room. I can still hear it in my ears.

But we can still be friends! :D

    Er... we won 4-1.

Now, same team for the next 6 weeks and a renewal on Joe Garner's loan, please. And also make sure Garner can play in the Cup on Saturday.
