But if you say ''never cared'' that does not mean you wouldn't.

    Nah, I'm good.

I guess time will be the ultimate judge of how true that statement is . :superwink:. Till the day comes that some lovely Lady (and by lovely, I mean personality) walks into my life, off the dusted wind swept streets, I will just keep doing what I am doing.

It's a joke, Katina. Dapper has a Dog for his Icon, I have a Dog for mine... so I made a joke about Dogs.

I think I was 16. I met her at an anime convention in Baltimore. No, it didn't work out, but none of my romantic relationships do. :p

My boyfriend of 8 years was a friend to me at ages 16-18, we went to different universities, got back in touch, and hit it off so well that we took it up a notch.

As a demisexual, I don't have the initial level (more physically oriented) level of attraction, I develop romantic feelings when I have developed a level of rapport with them. That was what happened to me with my boyfriend and both my previous ones.

    Speaking of:

One was a trans-Atlantic relationship with a guy from Canada, we went back to being friends because I was going through a hard time and his ability to help being limited was hurting him.

The second was a senpai to me in my first paid job, we had very different views on how a relationship should be, so we ended on friendly terms, now I call him my 'big brother' because he has a comparable protective streak.

    17.

No. And I think I'll be good for awhile.

Not because it was bad. It was the best relationship I've ever been in, albeit I haven't been in many (three). It was match-made by a lady friend in high-school. I didn't have a date to prom and I was set on not going. I'm grateful my friend did that for me. I was at a real crossroads in my life then and could've stayed on the path of being resentful and cynical towards love.

Now I'm only partly resentful and cynical!

But dating's rough because I'm probably autistic or something and don't really understand it, I find most girls difficult or incompatible, and also because I'm very difficult (I can't even stand being around myself sometimes) and I'm choosing a writing career because I can't get enough of existential crisis I guess. Writing career doesn't really scream "stability" to the female gender, financial or otherwise. I'm average height, skinny, and not really interested in getting meat-head ripped. If I don't know you I'm pretty reserved. I won't approach you if you're a girl I don't know. I'm especially not going to compete over you, whether I know you or not.

Well, as I say, when you fall for the first time you often fall the hardest, for you know not how to catch yourself or pick yourself back up.

    are you still together?
I never heard of demisexual. I had to look it up.

How do you mean by: his inability to help?
    What does senpai mean?

Hi Foxxx my sister lives in Michigan. Is it a nice place?
Also attraction and compatibility will come when it is ready it is also ready when you are not looking. It happens then. :)

    Yes we are.

    Most people haven't.

I have an emotionally abusive mother and it's hard to rescue the one you love when she's a six hour flight away.

When my boyfriend had to move out of his family home, I offered to help him find his new place, he said that he wanted my help because he wanted me to move in with him.

Upperclassman or senior, basically he was the one who got me settled into the job as a newbie.

If I understand what you mean, I have also found that a laissez-faire approach works. Dating has always been like a Chinese finger trap or pit of quicksand to me; the less I struggle, the easier it is. I'm not looking for a relationship right now anyway.

Michigan is great. Downtown Detroit is nice; love going to hockey games and concerts there. Some of the immediate areas around it are dangerous though, so you have to know where you're going and what you're doing.

As you go farther north into the suburbs it gets nicer and nicer. As you head up into the middle and north part of the state there's a lot less people. People go up north for camping, fishing, hiking, enjoying the outdoors. Getting away from all the noise, the hustle-and-bustle. Breathing some fresh air.

Mackinac Island is awesome. I haven't been there since I was 10. Would love to go back with my buddies this time around. The only vehicles allowed on the island are emergency vehicles.

We have starparks. State protected land that you can go to and gaze at the stars. They're miles away from towns and cities, which means no light pollution and you can get a good view of the nightsky. It's beautiful.

Then there's Sleeping Bear Dunes. The Great Lakes.

I love Michigan. Just thinking about fall coming up makes my heart fuzzy. It's gorgeous. And it's apple cider and cinnamon donuts season. Haunted hayrides. Definitely visit your sister some time NOT in winter or spring.

I'm 29 now and don't do much to interact with others outside of a forum. I'm fairly okay with just having dogs

The first time, and it will probably make you laugh (or look at me awkwardly).
I was about 14-15 and you know kinda dumb, and also kinda awkward. Much
like now, just you know much older and quite a bit smarter. :p
It was more like a celebrity crush, so it was never going to work out anyway.
Though not a celebrity crush of anyone you would be familiar with, unless
you roll in that odd circles that I do. :p
