This might have gone into the gaming thread, but I think he's deserving of his own. I'm sure some of you are familiar with the smart-mouthed British video game reviewer, Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, and his fast-paced, absolutely hilarious off-colour reviews over at the Escapist If not, check it out. And remember that I was the one who told you about him! If so, this can be the place where it's discussed. And also his games, which are also good. And rather well-written for something he did almost entirely on his own. (Heh, it occurs to me that I just lost my thread-starter virginity. Go me...)
I love Yahtzee!!! Have you seen his first 'pilot' show? It was hilarious. We tune in regularly, weds night after work! Fav show? I watch the resident evil one at work and got caught, because I was laughing so hard - tears and everything - very embarrassing. Although (I'm sure that you read the little comments at the end) what are your feelings towards the criticism he's been getting for being too 'formulaic'? - Personally, I wouldn't change a thing, but I do find that I'm not as tickled as I used to be. Still very entertaining though.
On one of his reviews he said "Yes, it's all your fault, especially yours ADRIAN" and my name's Adrian so I automatically freak out and then he said "Your name probably isn't Adrian but it was worth if just to f*** with all the Adrians in the world." It was hilarious.
It might be a little formulaic, but most comedy is to a certain degree. Besides, it's a new game every week, so it could never get completely dry and predictable. There's always room for a funny take on an upcoming game you're considering. And he always seems to hit the nail on the head, most of the time. That said, the penis/wanking/gay jokes are wearing a bit thin, methinks
