I spent ALL day creating a blog post. I went off to cook/eat dinner. I just returned and saved the wrong version. ALL my content is gone along with my MOJO to create another. I am annoyed with myself and annoyed with WP ... gotta blame someone.... and my husband was nowhere in sight!

Been a loooong summer.

 

I hear you. 3:20 pm, 102f heat index 115. We'll probably be cooler than you are by the same time, but yesterday I went outside and honestly thought I was having a medical crisis of some sort, got dizzy and saw spots in the heat and sunlight.

 

I worked in the heat my whole life.
Got way too hot a few times.
Can't take the heat now though; my mind tells me "you can do this today slick"; my body says " oh, hell no."

 

So my grandma is staying with us for the weekend while my parents are out of town…

With all due respect, I hate this. She got upset with me yesterday for not wanting to go to Celebration Station becuase I was tired and nauseated + screeching hobgoblin kids and hyperacusis don’t mix well, it’s nearly 100 degrees out, and no one wants to do mini golf in triple digit weather. She then (after calling my dad, who told her I don’t like loud places) got more upset because I didn’t disclose my medical condition to her, and started crying becuase she wants to ‘build a relationship’ with me by coercing me into doing things I’m not comfortable with. This stressed me out so much that I started tearing up from frustration. We ended up going somewhere else (my little brother changed his mind) and I came to keep it from becoming a stupid issue. Then she told my younger sister that “she thought I was tired” and implied that I lied to get out of going. I was tired, I felt terrible, but I went anyway becuase I wanted to make sure my siblings wouldn’t be getting swept up in drama.

(for the record, my adult sister is here too and my parents know we’re collectively intelligent enough to see through her trying to start drama, even my 6 year old brother.)

I’ve barely eaten anything execpt toast becuase the stress is making me nauseous. (Grandma continues to comment on the fact that I’m ‘not hungry.’) And that’s all without bringing up what happened today.

One more day and then my parents are back…please pray for me guys.

 

My sympathies. I had relative with a habit of offering several options (things to eat, things to do, it wasn't a single event but a pattern) who would then argue with my choice.

R: So, Iain, would you like pizza or burgers tonight?

I: oh, pizza sounds great, thanks!

R: But I thought you liked burgers? What's wrong with having a burger?

I: Really, either one is fine, I just-

R: Why can't you make up your mind?
