yeah basically that, and almost-correct English grammar lets just say, as soon as I see even just one mistake, it puts me off applying. I don't have time to be dealing with people who don't spellcheck their professional documents. (don't care if it's personal stuff though) also, is it obvious that i'm currently looking for work?
Have I mentioned Humanity before? because that is an on going thing with me... Humanity... Humanity Annoys me constantly. Drivers, Customers, Youtubers... etc. It's no wonder I have to create my own worlds... to escape this one. LOL....
"Moby-Dick, or The Whale by Herman Melville The immortal classic of high seas adventure! Now a major motion picture starring, oh, Seth Rogen or somebody!"
When people include my dog in a Christmas card, but write his name in inverted commas. No, that actually is his name. He's not "Bowser" (but actually he has a secret other name, shhhhhh). I have no explanation for why this has just occurred to me.
Adaptations of any series I've enjoyed. Avatar the last air bender comes to mind. The live action Death Note is another..... I can pretend they don't exist, but that doesn't stop it from being less annoying.
I refuse to watch Death Note. Also, I had been waiting for the live action adaptation of James Patterson's Maximum Ride since I started the books back in Middle School (I refused to read past book 5.... but thats another long rant) UNTIL I saw the trailer for it on Netflix. Needless to say, I didn't watch it nor have any plans to watch it in the future. Some series I WISH were made into a live action, but then I rather not go through the emotions if it is done badly....ugh
Of course, the guys on the left are modern men... they're just playing dressup, same as the guys on the right. But pretending they're real vikings... I wonder how many people the guys on the right have raped and murdered. I wonder how many people have starved to death because the guys on the right pillaged their supplies for the winter. I wonder how the guys on the left smell. I wonder how many teeth they have. I wonder how lice-infested they are. The modern world is a pretty wonderful place, in all its diversity!
Debate room territory there, but I could probably make some strong arguments against them along those lines as a class. Prolly best not to though.
This is a weird one, and I honestly have no idea why it annoys me. You know that thing in film and TV when someone in a crowded room gets an unexpected round of applause which starts with a single person doing a really slow clap, that gets faster and more heartfelt, at which point others start joining in until the whole room is whooping and clapping? That. Oh, and standing ovations make me cringe in exactly the same way.
Twitter posts about 'cozy reading with the cat/and chocolates. RT if you like reading, goody-goody.' Usually from the Paris Review or sim...and after the previous Maya Angelou 'quote' about joy and sharing...
Looks all right? Better than superheroes. I haven't watched a film for a decade since superheroes and all that star-trek shit. Only hours of Bondi Rescue for me, on Youtube, plus the Australian advertising...
How Humanity has fallen. . My ever growing facetious-cynicism just grows. Well, let's just bring on the nukes and begin the new chapter in the history of Humanity for.... "War... War never changes" P.S. Some day
The fact that White Wolf has to feel the need to write a separate compendium of essays about caring for your fellow players to go with the new edition of Vampire: The Masquerade. You're going into the head of a cluster of undead creatures who feed on humans to not only survive, but keep their instincts in check. The characters are monsters and they will be doing monstrous things for their own ends, of course uncomfortable material is going to come up and it should be sense that people will need to discuss personal limits. It just strikes me as sense to have these discussions ahead of time and act accordingly.
Authors that put 'A Novel' on the cover of their books beneath the title. Well no shit, but thanks for clarifying it was A Novel and not the damn Cliff-notes.
