Oh, I know this. There's a pill I take which is about the size of a pin-head. Heaven only knows how many of them are lying under my sofa.
Yep. It's an inevitable part of the process. You know you're REALLY old when you start appreciating your dad's music. I mean ...I just bought a Hoagy Carmichael CD. Seriously. What.
Well it would be doable to put a turntable in a car, but it would not go so well on bumpy roads. They still make vinyl records after all.
Senseless out of sequence rubbish...me Surely equipped for the Radio 3 long-wave? And how many copies of Rumours does any one man require, or Back in Black/Kate Bush greatest hits? I graciously gave all of my dvds to the care home, although regret The Wall & Quest for Fire (value priceless) & our Big Dick 5 from the 90s texting from work/losing will to breathe. 10 down, 2 to go...nnnn.
I use a Bluetooth FM transmitter. The one I use cost 10$ (Canadian) and works as a charger and hands free unit for when I'm not in my own car. Which, by the way, is the same price as one generic CD, ½ a premium CD, or around 25 burnable CD's.
Apparently if you download or stream music you can listen to it then, but you don't own it. You're only buying the right to listen to it, as long as it's being provided. If the company decides to pull the product, that's you lost it. Same as buying a book on Kindle, as opposed to buying a 'real' book. And yes, I buy lots on Kindle, but I'm mindful that I may not have access to it for a long time. You buy a CD, it's yours ...as long as you can find something to play it on. I have music stored on three iPod shuffles (love the fact that you can clip them onto clothing) and I listen that way a lot. But most of the stuff ON the shuffles came from my CDs. But now iPods themselves are being discontinued. I think there's only one model you can buy new, and Apple has stopped advertising it. You know, there is a limited number of times I'm planning to buy the same music, just so I can keep listening to it on the 'current' device. First 78 records, then vinyl, then tapes, then CDs, now digital ...geez. I've bought them all new in my own lifetime—and I'm only 70. I do actually like some new music (just bought The Hu CD last month) and stuff just being produced, but I'm afraid if I can't get it on CD, I'm no longer buying it. Sorry.... Nuff C Nuff.
thats not strictly true if its downloaded to a player ... its only the case if you rely on an online account
The new RAM truck has nineteen speakers with its sound system. I can remember when pickups (and cars, for that matter) had one speaker, in the middle of the dashboard.
I haven't actually had a chance to listen to it yet! But I'll let you know. I had pre-ordered it, so I got it as soon as it came out.
I notice it cause I'm kind of elitist where grammar is concerned. I mean, I'm a lot better about it now, but a few years ago...yikes.
Every time I see a headline for a story about George Papadopoulos' legal troubles, I think it's about George Stephanopoulos, and think, 'Yes! They finally got that little prick'.
