A good song can make my cry and doesn't have to have lyrics. A strong instrumental could do it, especially if accompanied by a beautiful scenery! :*)
So does keeping your knife razor sharp. A dull knife produces a sizeable cloud of onion mist, a sharp one releases far less.
I do mine in a food processor... no tears, no fumes. Plus it gets it all nice and finely chopped which is how I like it.
uh... yeah... and of course, being such 'a man' it never causes you to shed a tear, right? [no, i don't believe in the tooth fairy, either]
Johnny Got His Gun ~ Dalton Trumbo I weeped, I fell into depression, and it is still regarded in my mind as perhaps one of the best literary works of all time.
Frustration. Sad things can make me cry, but not nearly as much as frustration. I hate giving my all on something and simply coming to no avail. Frustration when it comes to objects doesn't really have that effect on me, like fixing a tire & failing at it. It's mostly when it comes to people. In an argument, they just seem on a completely different planet & I'll just feel like I'm about to explode or something.
Sad and emotional stories, shows and movies. The one that actually made me bawl is watching Clannad and watching this one YouTube video about a parents' note to their child.
Abuse to animals is the only thing that makes me cry (and deaths or great harm to loved ones obviously.) I mean, whenever the ASCPA commercial comes on I gotta turn it off, I can't stomach it. C'mon, what did the poor animals ever do to you to be neglected or beaten?
I dare anyone here to watch the South Korean movie A Moment to Remember and not tear up. It's just not possible!
Yes, animefans12, Clannad is quite the tear jerker! I got teary during that scene when Tomoyo revealed her past. *SPOILER* Her brother attempted to commit suicide because watching his parents arguing constantly proved unbearable. As Tomoyo and her parents prayed for the boy's life, they became family for the first time. Very touching.
