As far as I know, they are American (Plano, Texas), but my understanding is Frito-Lay is big enough that they tailor flavors for the countries they are in, and manufacture those snacks in or near the target country.
I bought my favourite movie, The Fifth Element, on UHD/4K. I think I might buy the movies that I frequently rewatch instead of trying to find which streaming service they're on at any given time. I also bought the LotR extended editions and cannot wait to see them for the first time in 4K, although it was out of stock at the time and there's no telling when it might ship..
This is the way. Streaming sucks for movie buffs. There is so little choice and when you're trying to find something you like from ages ago it's not there. I have over 2000 DVDs/Blu-Rays (long story, worked in the industry) with a lot of my favourites that I can watch whenever I like.
I do. Return of the King was already pretty long as it was, but I enjoyed most of the extra bits, like the Faramir & Boromir backstory.
Comrade! I love The Fifth Element and have lost track of the number of times I've watched it. I bought the extended LotR series for my grandson for Xmas. I only read the Hobbit and half the first book of the trilogy before I burned out on them, so when I saw the movies, I was lost half the time. It wasn't until my daughter and I stayed at a B&B in Ireland that I saw the extended version and the story finally made sense.
The Fifth Element rules. I was lucky enough to catch it in theatres and I immediately fell in love with it. I had just turned 14 and convinced my dad to go see it with me since he was also a big sci-fi fan. And so we saw boobs on the big screen together for the first time. Awkward. I was glad he made no mention of it afterwards. When I heard that they were making the LotR movies, that motivated me to finally read the books. They had long been on my list as I was a big fantasy fan even back then. I knew that I only had the one chance to imagine everything for myself; after watching the movies, it's impossible not to picture the actors and locations from the films when reading.
I was in my early forties. Ran into a friend leaving the movie as I was going in; asked him how it was. He said it was great- he'd seen it seven times. Wow, thought I. Pay to see a movie seven times? My Scotch-Irish soul shivered. I ended up paying to see it again then bought the movie on dvd as soon as I was able.
Why is it so hard to find something to your specifications? I want a soft cover, pocket sized day-to-view diary. They do exist and are made my Moleskine, but they’re £17.99 on amazon! £18 for a 9 x 14cm diary is ridiculous, but then they probably know no one else makes them so they charge want they want.
Wow! I can't compare with that, but I finally got myself a nice big 18 oz coffee cup. 8 oz never is enough, and I was tired of drinking out of the measuring cup. I call it the megamug. Happy now.
Conversely, I’ve been looking for a nice small coffee cup, but it seems none of the high street shops bother to stock any. I don’t drink a lot of coffee (maybe two a day) and when I do I’d prefer it to be a small measure. I bought a Tassimo coffee machine that uses these pod things, and the amount you get per pod is perfect for me. But If I use a normal coffee mug it barely half fills it. And can I find small coffee mugs anywhere?? Nope!!
i iritatingly can't find the ryman link i had before -m i should have just posted it at the time... but heres an etsy link which is similar https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1106093313/2022-page-a-day-a7-diary-soft-leather
I got my favorite small mugs at second hand and charity shops. One is classic 1980s colors of baby blue and pink which makes me giggle every time I use it because it reminds me of a friend's overwrought country motif home decoration from that era. We spent a lot of happy hours drinking coffee at her house amidst the ruffles, accent pillows, and cutesy embroidered country mottoes.
Funnily enough I did try the charity shops, and while they had small cups, they were either garish colours or they looked like something your granny used to own. Not your granny, specifically, you understand.
I just had a good customer service experience. Bought a webcam from Mr. Bezos's shop, it had a 4.5/5 star rating (87% positive) but I didn't look at the specific ratings. When it arrived it was significantly different from as described (hence things I recently bought) and when I checked the reviews I discovered they were for... sealable plastic bags. The good reviews that is, the really really bad reviews were for the camera. But the customer service person was really helpful, their typed English was slightly peccable but with no problems in comprehension on my end, and they got it all sorted for me. Bizarre.
Since I'm the granny here, I reckon my long-out-of-fashion cups are appropriate. Cups my granny owned are far more likely to be valuable now.
A Leuchtturn1917 soft cover, A6 notebook. I can’t find the diary I want so I’ll use a notebook and put the dates in myself.
D'Adiro Medium Jazz Strings 17-56. Cool Music Insane Distortion Pedal Joyo Extreme Metal Pedal. Just trying to broaden my sound, and the strings are just extras in case I need them.
I had to have one of these. It arrives tomorrow (god bless Prime). 400 pages, baby! I’ll be amazed if I ever use it, but I don’t care, I had to have it... like women have to have shoes!
