c.1960-they still had them in the early 90s. Some tech is too simple to improve.

I think you can get a liquid coolant kit for that, though it may take a bit to do that safely. :)

My parents dropped this chair of today. It's gorgeous, but not safe for sitting. Probably hasn't been in a long time... so it's just for decoration.

I recently got a bed for Lost and while being at IKEA picked up some picture frames and small shelf I've been wanted since I moved into this apartment ans haven't got around to for almost a year.

Paraffin candles and a .5 mechanical pencil. It is surprisingly
spendy at 2$ for a .5 pencil.

These two things. The clock will go in my pocket (it's the size of a small matchbox) and will mean I don't have to keep pulling my phone out and switching it on (I don't like wearing wrist watches). And the peanut lighter will go camping with me. I wouldn't have bought them, only I had a voucher to get rid of.

Speaking of coffee...I finally found a travel mug to suit my finicky preferences...@ the village Woolies too.

I spend many hours over many days online looking at what's available, never finding that "perfect" one. Then the other day while shopping for ingredients for the only stew I know to make, I saw this black BZYOO out the corner of my eye.
(can't find a separate pic to post)

Nothing fancy, I just like the small minimalistic shape. The spout is comfortable, and the plastic settled down after two coffees. Certain plastics gives off particles when heated, and my body alerts me to stuff like that.

I drink out of takeaway cups when I visit the village. Two reasons are ECD issues where I don't like drinking out of cups others have used, and two, my coffee experiences last around 30-40 mins, so I ask for 80 degree heat and coffee lasts a healluva lot longer in covered cups.
(ECD - eccentric compulsive disorder, I have compulsions but I'm not uncontrollably obsessed. I leave 'disorder' in so others can relate)

Sold my MTB mid last year. Had it for a year before I even took it for a spin, then only did under 500Ks in 2 years. Just never rode as much as I did on the mainland.

Definately heading back to the mainland, but sometime next year. Already reinitiated healthy diet and after I do the big jobs around the house I restart my exercise routine...so I've been desiring another MTB.

Came across this oldschool gem on ebay. Drooled over the front forks and appreciate the pristine condition, but alas, after a few enjoyable convos with the owner, it turns out freight is over $400 (QLD to Tassie). So no can buy...˜sadness˜...though said that if he still has it by the time I get back to QLD I'd buy it even if I ended up with something in Tassie.

There's just aint enough folks in Tassie to provide a lot of choices for 2nd handies (not in my price range). And yep, the fussy mechanisms kick in for MTBs too.
I also once took 12 months to find a pair of joggers I liked, and perhaps you should go sit down and have a coffee while I'm deciding on which Gel pen to purchase. Can't write if it just don't feel right. Too scratchy, too sluggish.

Alas, if only that internal system was up and running before I chose my Ex.

Today I bought a 3-in-1 Karrimor raincoat with fleece. Cost me 15 euro, but seeing as a simple raincoat of theirs would've cost me at least 80 euro, I'm pretty chuffed at my bargain.

Just bought a brand new mouse pad...... but when I was looking I realised that perhaps technology has gone too far. There was this mousepad for just under 700 AUD that had LED lights in RGB colours that are controllable. It was self beating heating or cooling. It had a self adjusting surface that can change depending on your settings and an inflatable wrist pad. I mean, why the hell would you want any of that?

A new jacket. Yellow and fluffy. It was a treat to myself but I wish I hadn't bought it now, what with there being a truck load of money problems at the tail-end of the week .

I didn't realize people really still seriously used those. I mean I see them all over the place, but I just thought it was one of those computer holdovers from back in the day when track balls made them a necessity.
