-Cayenne pepper plants -Oregano plants -Basil plants -Flower seeds After 5 years of putting it off, I've decided to work in my flowerbed again and try to get a small garden going.
Waiting on my new guitar to arrive over the next few weeks. It was out of stock everywhere but they've got a shipment coming in pretty soon. To roughly misquote Mean Girls, you would never buy a guitar without chatting to your sister first, right? I couldn't pick between like 4 choices, then she was like 'which one could you see yourself sprinting like a chicken across the stage at Live Aid with?' and voila, we picked out the same one. I'm still waiting for my baby to arrive. I've been playing an old hand-me-down for like 6 years, so I figured it was time for something of my own.
Very nice. Not quite my colour but lovely all the same. I’ve owned four guitars for about 18 months now and can’t even string two chords together. I sort of hate myself for giving up so easily, but I think sometimes we just know when we’re wasting our time.
Nice. Who's the manufacturer? I love the sound of the hollow bodies but I don't like is how the neck balloons out around 12 - 15 fret and makes higher access difficult. Bad for lead but great for rhythm.
2 tickets to Demon Slayer (hoping i dont have to go to alone... going to the movie theater is no fun alone ...)
I love going to the movies alone. Back when I lived in the states I'd go to a film every Sunday night by myself. No pressure if the other person isn't enjoying it as much as you are.
I have a new smartphone. And a new case to protect my new smartphone. The case is the second one I've ordered, and on both of them the tempered glass screen protector is a good 1.5mm smaller than the size of the screen. Is it supposed to be like that? I mean, do you just peel off the sheet and stick it on and ignore the gap all the way around? And if something happens to the protector, can you get it off without ruining your touchscreen? I've had smartphones since 2014, but this is the first time I've bothered to get a case for any of them. I'm tired of busting the screens. But I ain't using what I just bought until I know it's right.
I don’t use cases because smartphones are already too big to be practical. I don’t use these protective screens, either, but I’m pretty sure they’re designed to be replaced and not damage your phone’s screen when removed. I’m also pretty sure they’re supposed to be a mm or two smaller than your phone’s screen to prevent an overlap that might catch on things and be pulled off.
After I made my post, I hit on the right search terms and found a few Q & As on the subject. The thinking is that the glass screens on phones have radiussed edges and you don't want the protector lying over the entire footprint of the screen because it would hang over the radius and, as you say, catch on things. My annoyance is that the case covers most of the radius already, and the protector stops nearly a millimeter away from where the radius begins. What's more, the case makes a raised rim all around the phone, so what edge do you have left to catch? Oh, well. I'll slap the thing on and see how it works.
Just buy an iPhone - they’re bomb-proof anyway. My little SE has been dropped more times than I’ve had a hot meal and apart from the odd tiny dent on the case’s edge it looks as good as it did the day I got it. Mind you that was before apple decided they were going to design their phones to look like every other oversized smartphone out there, so I can’t speak for the newer models.
I haven't heard this before, not that it has been demonstrated either. But a gameboy did and still works.
