More like bend the metal and warp it to fit their misdrilled holes. The ones that didnt line up so badly they couldnt be saved I had to seal.
Nah, just like to have what I need before I know I need it. And the meat industry is cratering this week for the 4th. Roughly 30 day lead time once production catches up, which my sources say may not happen. Two of my distributors shut down this week until August. That's the fucking pits. I got a patio set once where all the pre-drilled holes were off by several inches.
Noise-cancelling headphones. They work well, nice way to listen to music -- but I find that most of the time I prefer hearing ambient noises and "the real world." I'm sure there will be coffee-house times, but being retired and with few firm deadlines and ample opportunities for relative solitude or for listening to "my music" over speakers I don't feel a lot of need for them. I kind of feel that for me these are a solution seeking a problem.
You could take up woodworking in your spare time. My husband just wore out his second pair listening to music while he runs saws, drills, and sanders.
Actually, I have done some of that, but not recently. Excellent suggestion. And while mowing, I guess.
He bought the first pair of noise cancelling headphones for me to wear on an overnight flight to Ireland so I could sleep well. That weird deep absence of aural sensation drove me nuts.
Bought some noodles to delivered for "lunch".... Because i didnt want the cold sandwich i'd packed....
Smart aleck. Given that woodworking is his fulltime job and he wears the headphones while mowing the lawn and doing other household chores as well, sustained use brings the built-in self-destruction date up quicker for him than for the casual user. Of course, having been a musician for six and a half decades, he might actually listen harder than most of us. I'd suggest he listen softer, but then he'd think I was suggesting easy listening music and he'd have to shoot me.
40W 4Ohm 1x10 Guitar amp with spring reverb. Also the knobs go to 11. (I needed a pick me up after today.)
A week ago my wife and I adopted a rescue dog. He is a 9 year old Bichon Frise. We are helping him with a couple of issues brought about from the way he was previously treated, but apart from that he is a loveable old boy.
Congratulations, Rad! I'm waiting to see if my husband brings home my son-in-law's dog girl. Due to certain circumstances, it is only a matter of time before she comes to live with us, but my husband would be very happy if it was sooner rather than later. She has some physical challenges that need more constant attention than two working people can supply, but my husband works from home and could have her constantly underfoot. It's hard to let go of a dog you love, though.
As an addendum, it turns out that the fridge I bought is also a freezer. I had no idea until I opened it and saw that a few bottles of tonic had exploded! Probably should have checked the settings after the delivery dude plugged it in.
Mine did that for a while. It utterly destroyed any lettuce I had in there in a couple of days. Everything else was fine except the lettuce and a Brita pitcher. The water filtering through it froze in dribbles coming out of the bottom of the filter. Like little stalactites.
Another freezer. Except this one is 80 by 60 inches and something like 52 cubic feet. And it costs as much as a used car. And it was for the restaurant, but she's nice! We were able to fit all 4 line cooks in it! Fortunately it wasn't plugged in at the time. Or unfortunately, depending on the shift.
My first jab! Long story, but sometimes a few hours a week at a behemoth corporation can have fringe benefits.
I ordered a tostado, got an enchilada by mistake, told the waiter it would do, then as I was eating, he brought me a tostado to take home for my next meal.
