Azure. Nostalgia. Vignette. Impressionistic. Surreal. Sublime. Abstract. Zephyr. Saturnalian. Cerulean. Vermilion. Veridian. Indigo. Chateau. Astral. Ghastly. Mako. Ditz. Schlemiel. Schlep. Lavender. Bitter-sweet. Too many words (ellipses)
I can't say I like this word. It doesn't SOUND like what it means. It's more like a technical description than a meaningful conveyance. I'm learning some interesting words, though. I've always liked the word 'amble,' too. Hmm. . . . Fickle! Gotta love the word 'fickle,' even though I always forget what it means. Oh, vacillate! Love vacillate. And 'abreast'. I always use abreast. People often say, "O_O What?!" "It means, 'side by side and facing the same direction'". "Oh. . . ." It's a good alternative for 'alongside,' because it denotes an older, more wise sense, if you ask me. Edit: Aero! Those are some FUN words! Zephyr is awesome! It LOOKS mystical and fantastical, and it means a soft, gentle breeze. That-- that is beautiful! I'm so glad you named those words! Azure, too! These could even be used as names. You are awesome!
I love the words 'surreal' and 'attractive'... Another one of my favourites is 'smile'. They're just nice-sounding, happy words!
Hm yeah, it''s cool! I really love the word "hope" that and "faith". And "grace." Oh! One of my very favorite words is "beautiful." I also like "unique." I think I likee unique because it's got such a strange sound to it, which is exxactly what it means!
Bamboozled. Diametrically. Ramrod. Quintessential. Threadbare. Illuminated. Supercilious. Blue. Whippersnapper. Dilly-dally. Lollipop. Mimosa. Sweet. Meander. Dawdle. I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of anymore that pop out at me off hand.
I've got two that spring to mind: "grubby" because its fun to say. Don't know why, just love saying it. Grubby, grubby, grubby . . . Sorry. The other is "Butaracious" What? How do you pronounce that? Byoo-tai-ray-shius What the heck does it mean? Having the consistency of butter. Nuff said.
Hierophany. It means a manifestation of the divine, which if I was a god would be a relatively moderate sized explosion. edit: Hierophany is such a good word spell check doesn't even know it exists.
My favourites tend to change from month to month, but right now I'm especially loving every word of that post. And yasashisa, (yah-sah-she-sah) which is Japanese for kindness.. lol. Just the smooth, musical sound of it, which also suits the meaning. Oh, and lascivious. And salacious. Don't ask why. And horripilation! It sounds like some kind of biblical doomsday thing, but it's really just goose bumps. Gotta love that. "Jimmy shivered in dread as horripilation crept up his arms." Holy crap on a biscuit. Poor fellow... Trappistine. From this passage of a song, Her Ghost in the Fog: A Queen of snow Far beyond compare Lips attuned to symmetry Sought Her everywhere Trappistine eyes An Arabian nightmare... But.. oh wait.. it actually refers to an order of catholic monks. Say what?? D'oh! Have you ever encountered a word that was used so wrongly but sounded so right? Now there's a word that really needs an additional meaning. Here I am, all fired up.. and then.. Catholic monks?! Like a bucket of ice water, that. Scintillating, vertigo, Lemuria (lost land), surreal, nympholepsy, effervescent, necrophagous, Scheherazade (One Thousand and One Nights)... hehe.. there are far too many interesting words and names to list.
