    Deleting my account

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Kendria Perry, May 27, 2013.

For some stupid reason or another, my Mom wants me to delete my account. How do I go about doing that?

I can't answer your question. I'm just a little dumbfounded.

I'm curious why you mother would want that.

My understanding is that it can't be done. All you can do is stop visiting the site.
I am sorry to hear that your mother feels this way.

Meh, she's just mad I spoke so much about Lolita...BECAUSE IF I LIKE A BOOK ABOUT A PEDOPHILE THAT MAKES ME A PEDOPHILE TOO OMG!!!!!!!! *extreme sarcasm* Seriously, she called it a "porno book". Goes to show she didn't actually read it.

This was in the wrong section - it has moved.

You can't delete your account I'm afraid, no one has that power.

I'm sorry to hear your mother feels this way, but to be honest, I've never particularly liked that novel either - and for that reason. I can't say I don't understand her here, but removing yourself from an internet forum because of knowing about a single book is just not rational to me. However, if it's what she wants then only you would know the best thing to do.

You can tell her to read an excerpt from it that shows great literary value if there is one. But if that doesn't work, then you can let her read anything you've created this far so she can see you like writing.

If none of those work, the last resort is exposing her by finding her copies of the Fifty Shades of Gray trilogy :v:
If somehow she doesn't have it, buy them, then say its hers.

Yeah, just stop using the account. Your posts will eventually pass the event horizon of Page 3 of any section in the forum and from there into the singularity...

If you want to lock yourself out, just change your password to a random string and keep no record of it.

We don't delete accounts. Even for your mother.
