    To Rhyme or Not?

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by AASmith, Mar 26, 2015.

    Hello,

I am sure this has been discussed a lot before but I have a specific question. I wrote a very rough draft of a children’s book. This draft using rhyming in A-B-C-B Format. I was looking around online and noted that a few people advised not to rhyme as it can be a turn off since not everyone can rhyme well enough to get an agent or to be published. So I was thinking of doing one of re-writing my current draft so that it does not rhyme. It would be the same story and follow the same line/plot but of course this will require a higher word could and take me a bit to complete a rough draft. Or, should I leave it the way it is? Either way, I of course realize that it will take may drafts/edits before I move on to the next steps.

    Thanks!
