A typically have an educational show going on in the background as I post online. History, Discovery, A&E, or a channel with some kind of real life murder mystery. I used to watch Adult Swim on Cartoon Network but I've seen almost every episode of every show on there 10 times by now.
I have a guilty confession to make. First off, let it be understood that I am a 20 year old male who enjoys action movies and halo... I am also totally fangirling because Downton Abbey season 3 premiered on Sunday...
Anyone watching Utopia on British TV? If the whole series is as good as the first episode it will find it's way to the rest of the world (either as it is, or a remake): watch out for it. Also loving Boardwalk Empire - great writing.
BBC's Africa. I'm an episode behind but wow. When I saw the trailer for it, I thought 'this is going to be amazing' but I had my doubts because it might have been ruined with excessive narration. But I wasn't let down. And I think it's quite cool how they have a section at the end about the cameramen/women and the team behind it.
Me, I'm just looking forward to Season 3 of of Game of Thrones. Have been very impressed with the way the first two have portrayed Martin's world, unlike many programmes they have stayed pretty true to the books. Comes of author involvement I suppose, but really hyped for the next series. On the other end of the spectrum, I've recently been taking a look at some of the older television shows that various people have lying around - really enjoyed the Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's People series with Alec Guinness, and also the old BBC series Edge of Darkness. I'm really enjoying the BBC's Africa programme. Some parts of it would take your breath away. For christmas, a friend of mine bought me a multimedia player where you can download hundreds of films and TV shows, so I've just recently got lots of shows downloaded on to it which will keep me occupied for ages. I've started watching Homeland which seems to be very good. I also got back into watching season 7 of Dexter. When I get time I'll start watching The Wire and The Walking Dead. Recently on Lovefilm I got into watching 30 Rock, which is surprisingly good, and Peep Show, which I love. I'm a TV addict
Been enjoying Channel4's My Mad Fat Diary. Just got season 3 of Breaking Bad on DVD, Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire and Season 5 of Mad Men: got to love winter for watching DVD's in front of a roaring fire! Mackers: loved The Wire, and Peep Show is ace. Have you seen Fresh Meat? It is brilliant.
Nah I haven't, what's it about? I watched the first episode of My Mad Fat Diary though; for a comedy show it's kind of depressing. Of course it has it's moments where I found myself smirking but there's a lot of heavy teenage issues floating around in it, I can't help but feel sorry for the main character. I wish she'd drag herself to the gym, get on the treadmill, and all the problems stemming from her weight/image would be solved lol...It can't be that easy, can it? I've heard good things about Mad Men I wouldn't mind watching it.
Dont watch TV anymore as hate the idea that i have to do something when they want me to, plus hate commercials, so i get all my shows from the net I love British comedy one of the best for me is "How not to live your life" and "Black Adder" also "IT crowd" is great, if you want a good laugh look them up. Loved also the Stargate series all three of them but think Atlantis was for me some of their best work, felt sad and still do they had to cancel them, we dont get any good sci-fi series anymore :/ Currently follow "Person of interest" and couple of others, but since my move to another country didn't watch any episode yet, as their internet speed is terrible here
Fresh Meat is about a bunch of people starting university. If you can get Channel4 OD you can see it there. There are two series.
I loved last weeks Once Upon a Time. Only thing is that I couldn't see the giant as anyone but Hurley. They did cast him well though, Jorge Garcia is awesome. A little whisper to ABC...cast Josh Holloway as Robin Hood and my life would be complete!
Anyone else watching Amazing Race this season? I'm so excited! Rooting for Joey and Megan Youtubers, I love them.
The Following: I was going to ask what others thought about his show, I'm enjoying thy Poe. another great monday night show is SYFY continume, A smart show about time travel and are corpatation overlords. One thing that burns the hell out of me about this show though is they are in Vancover, but every time they mention a national agency it's an American agency or military. Come on writes you can't log on to a secure SIPER net from a police station in Vancover. I also recommend Last Resort that was a one season run on ABC I think, great story about an American Coup de'ta, expanding china, and an american nuclear sub caught in the middle. Revolution: It's ok, love the idea, but the finished project is weak (can't wait for season 2) I love my DVR
Anyone watch the Walking Dead? I just marathoned the first two seasons on nexflix and am now getting caught up on season three. I think that the writing is really good, as is the acting and directing.
The Walking Dead tonight best was the best one yet for season 3 I'm watching the talking dead, which I really enjoy the after show and I think it really helps me develop my own people in my story. I love that morgan came back been waiting for that, and Machoon (excuse my spelling) opened which was cool, and Carl. Well Carl is a bad ass.
Michonne, hun. And Carl has become quite the badass, indeed. Half of me is overjoyed, because the last two seasons have really been rife with 'where's Carl?' and general useless kid jokes, and he's finally stepping up, but the other half of me is so sad to see him killing zombies and killing people with no qualms about it whatsoever. And seeing Rick treat him like a fellow adults and like a kid all at once hurts, too. Man, what a great show.
Tonight's Walking Dead was good. Most of this season has been mediocre compared to previous seasons, and this episode really helped bring things back on track. I hope they can keep producing episodes like this one, but from the preview I saw of next week's episode, I think it's going to be more of the usual violence for violence's sake.
I watched the "Vikings" miniseries on the history channel. I wasn't impressed. I supposed I've become spoiled from watching Sageuks like Dae Jo Young.
I saw the clip of next week, it will be the calm before the storm of the season finally, I've read most of the orignal comics and that said. I would have shot the govenor right there.
I'm hooked on the Following. Really enjoyed the Mob Doctor last season and was sorely disappointed to hear it was canceled.
