I loved the first chapter of Breaking Dawn! I think I've read it about a hundred times...And the cover art is gorgeous :) I loved where she started it and I'm glad we got to read about Charlie and Renee's reaction to Bella and Edward's engagement! I was really hoping she'd write about that after I finished reading Eclipse.

The preface worried me a tad bit though...I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it, so I won't say more on that!

Aww, I didn't get to read it yet!! Anyway, get ready for the scene released tomorrow you guys! I'm so excited!! :)

I did see the cover art though and I was baffled! I have no clue what it means! Somehow, I get the feeling that someone dies . . . and I think it's Jacob. I don't even know why. . . One of my crazy theories that I come up with, probably due to the lack of sleep!

You can find it on any bookstore website (Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc.) or Amazon, now that it's officially been released. It's of a chessboard - a white queen in the front and a red pawn in the back.

I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed by the scene. Considering the ballet studio scene was one of my favorites from the book, I though it would be more over the top and dripping with goodness! I think I need to lower my standards for the movie just a bit and realize that the directors can't capture everything like I see it in my head!

If Jacob dies, I'm gonna have to bash Meyer over the head with a fetus. Just letting you guys know.

She's not gonna, she wants to write more books about it :)

There was some big news about Midnight Sun on the site. :D

The scene was okay, but something made it feel really awkward for me.

I saw that news and it made me really excited! I'm so glad that there is something to look forward to after Breaking Dawn, even if it's not "new" in the sense of plot.

Something made the scene awkward for me too. I can't figure out what it is. It could just be the fact that my Bella/Edward look nothing like the actors, and that's bugging me. I started re-reading Twilight a few days a go and the Bella/Edward actors keep popping into my head every now and then when I read. I have to force them out and let MY Bella/Edward stay!

The thing I find awkward about the scene is this:

The Dance studio is more a stadium than a studio. The scenen's set is far to large for it to be practical for a suburban dance studio. Its to grandious with the multiple stories and the church like archetecture. I think the boook studio was meant to be much smaller, and more your stereotypical studio with a wall of mirrors and the railing with wooden floors sort of thing.

I also don't like how edward comes in to save her before she's bitten. I thought that was the best :"oh my gosh whats going to happen" moment in the book and they virtually cut it out by having Edward come to the rescue to early.

    I'm a good whiner :D

And yes, that's exactly what I was thinking was wrong too! It didn't even look remotely like the ballet studio I pictured in my head. Granted it's been a good 15 years since I've even set foot in a ballet studio, but I think I still remember what one looks like!

Oh well...even if the movie sucks, we've still got the books!

    That is very true :)

Though if the movie sucks, we have three more movies to hope that doesn't suck.

Unless! It sucks as bad as Eragon did, in which case no one would want to make a sequel :D.

(I think you were being sarcastic, but I'm answering anyways! ;) )

Hmm...I doubt it. I don't think the movie is going to be from Bella's point of view, actually. In the trailer there is a scene where Emmett says "She's not one of us!" - I went back and read Twilight, and this is definitely not in Twilight! So I think it's going to be more an adaptation on the book showing multiple points of view.

Yeah, it's more of just the thing as a whole. I heard Meyer asked it to be neutral for both sides so you could get a bit of both. That way both stories would be told. Which means, some of the movie will be new for everyone.

    So good, isn't it??

Who do you think she's talking about in the preface? I'm betting on Edward...but then again, I thought she was talking about Edward in the preface of Twilight and she was actually talking about her mom!

I am kind of miffed that she's still all anti-wedding, though. I guess I shouldn't be - she has always been against it. Besides, I had loads of fun planning AND enjoying my own wedding - I hate that she's not experiencing that! But I thought that maybe, just maybe, she would've grown up a tad bit between Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!
