    two cents' worth

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by dillseed, May 30, 2014.

"Two cents' worth" requires an apostrophe after "cents." If we omitted "worth," would we still keep the apostrophe?

    Example:

I put in my two cents'.

The apostrophe above signals an omitted "worth," or no?

Or should I leave it as:
I put in my two cents.

    TY
