“I know who did it!!!” David exclaimed his tears drying up as quickly as they came and his wide bubbly grin returning as he skipped up beside Jinx. “It was the school butler because in mystery stories it’s always the butler right?” That was right? Wasn’t it? It is most ideal for the killer to be a murderous murdering no good murder butler. “I think we should start looking for people named Jeeves or Pennyworth.” He nodded. "Soooo we should like search the food court if this place has one." His eyes shifted over to Mikkish. "I concur that the book would be safer in our hands then in the butler's so all we need to do is find the butler and smash em!"
"K where are you guys gettin this 'gouged eyes' thing? She was burned alive. Anyway..." Mikkish turned to Joe "Maybe you think my idea is stupid, but it's what we're doing. That includes you, unless you want to burn to bbq, or have your eyes gouged out." Mikkish stopped a moment, worrying about the book. Joe, and maybe his brother and a couple others here would be eager to grab it if they found it. The meeting would not be in his own dorm room, Mikkish would make sure of it, if he was going to protect the book. "Uh...anyway guys, my dorm is pretty fucking cluttered. I wouldn't suggest us having this meeting there. Any volunteers?"
"Honestly I am sorry Joe but I can't help but agree. That book no matter what it is cannot be a good thing to hand to a killer." I say with a heavy sigh. I would then turn towards Martyn again. "C'mon Martyn let's get away from here and head to the dorms too. The walk there might help you calm down and stop thinking about all this." I say giving a smile. But even so part of the reason I want him to come of course is to have a healing hand around just in case. "And if anything happens well there would be all of us around to put up a decent fight." I hope might encourage him to come along.
I looked at everyone and sighed. "We may as well be powerless, we'll be lambs to slaughter, we don't have little to no experience, this guy managed to wipe memories from someone's very soul... a whole army of untrained and inexperienced soldiers would fall to a single man with years of experience... why won't anyone listen to me...? We should just destroy that thing in public... it'd lure out the murderer if it's his goal." I thought. After a moment, I finally spoke up. "...No. I refuse to assist you in leading you all to your deaths, this isn't just some game, no one will listen to me, but this man is very powerful. Sheer numbers won't be able to take him down, he's cold, calculating, and will kill anyone without remorse so long as it furthers his goals, and let's not forget he has much more experience than all of you combined, he's powerful enough to get the dead to fear him. I'm sorry, but this is my decision and I cannot in good conscience help get you all killed." I said, with that, I turned and walked away, clutching my locket tightly. Though I wouldn't lead them all to their deaths... I couldn't just sit around and do nothing either... I'd just have to conduct my own investigation, I had three avenues of investigation, first, I'd have to eliminate the possibility of a ritual, second, I'd have to get more information about the victims, finally I'd have to check out the crime scenes, see if there was something that they missed... it'd be helpful if I could get the police file on the killings... but I doubt I could just walk in there and ask them nicely to give me the files... but it couldn't hurt to try...
Mikkish had already started walking off, but stopped and looked back over at Joe "You know, you're pretty delusional. I've seen skilled, experienced fighters get the shit kicked out of them when up against 5 thugs that fought like 8 year old girls. Hell, I've been in that situation myself. My experience barely helped whenever I got jumped by small gangs." Mikkish said, thinking back to his growing up in the trailer park, then turning to Joe "And another thing: He might not even be after the book. But whatever. I offered to let you stick around with us so you wouldn't get killed in some fucked up way, but if getting killed sounds fun to you, then have tons of fun." Mikkish shook his head, then turned back to the others "Alright, come on guys. Lets at least get inside the building. Killer might be listening to us now. And forget Joe." Mikkish said, walking to the dorm building.
I looked over at Mikkish. "...I'll take your advice into consideration, and you should take mine as well, that was a test of strength, only physical means, you need to break down your everyday notions of strength and add magic into the equation, it doesn't matter if there are five people fighting him, he doesn't have to focus on one opponent, he can strike all five at once... after all Mikkish, I took down a small group of people by myself with a burst of energy, something raw and uncontrolled, think of what that would have been like if I had really been trying to harm them, if I had experience and knowledge on my side. If you believe that you, with your limited experience and knowledge, can take him, you're only on the path to ruin." I said, I knew that arguing the point any further was pointless, but I hoped that would at least give him pause. The first stop that I'd make would be the library... I'm sure that I could procure a map of the city there along with any information regarding rituals, I could map the killer's movements... I knew that criminals tended to stick close to where they live for a quick getaway, for the first crime anyway, as they grow with confidence they begin to stretch out. Though this may not apply with magical criminals... after all, this person managed to hide his crimes, someone would have noticed that body in the alley sooner or later, however I doubt that the killing was done in broad daylight... I mean he would have been screaming in agony, he might've just been transported there after the fact, then with the girl, he chained her up and lit her on fire, if she hadn't began screaming, we would have never noticed her chained to a tree. Though it still didn't hurt to keep track of the killer's movements. I went into the library and looked around, normally I'd still be in awe at the sheer volume of it, I'd want to just grab one of the nearest books, find a nice quiet corner to read, and just read the day away. However I wasn't here for pleasure, I was here to look into two people's deaths, I was trying to track down a killer. I should probably ask the librarian for assistance, he'd be able to tell me if there were maps available and if there was a book with rituals that involved gouging out the eyes of the first victim and burning the second alive. Hopefully he wouldn't think that I was up to something nefarious, however, just asking about something like this would probably put me in a very suspicious light.
Jinx listened to Joe silently, understanding where he was coming from. She let him walk off without telling him his words were not lost on her. She knew that the person she faced was probably incredibly powerful and cunning and it would take improvement of her skills and years of experience to become a true necromancer. This of course didn't deter her from the truth. She had a weakness when it came to people, and speaking with the young girl only solidified her determination to avenge her. Even if it was stupid, and would most assuredly get her killed, she couldn't do anything. She looked over at Mikkish, "We could head to my room, but it is quite crowded. I am sure no one else will give a damn or notice anything but I will be bombarded, by...spectrums." She shivered wrapping her hands around her body, before she stood up straight, "OH SHIT DALIA. DAMN IT..I HAVE A SHOW TONIGHT. NO..I MEAN...She has a show...nevermind, this is more important. But I did book." She stopped turning to the group, "I forgot, I'm lending my body to a transvestite within an hour here, she has a life goal to perform at this famous strip club and this was the only day I could book. I can meet you after that? Unless you all wish to come. Your all legal right?"
Martyn nodded listening to everyone worried quietly worried and looked scared still. "I-i'll g-g-g-g-go with you." he says nervously looking around at the others and not at the scene at all then looking at Rue. "T-thanks... b-but i'm going to keep my shield up still for a little bit i i feel safer." he smiled softly as he walked nervous still scared but he was smiling that he had others to protect him maybe he'd make proper friends here for sure.
Mikkish eyes lit up when he heard Jinx say 'strip club.' Sure, the ghost was a tranny, but that didn't necessarily mean all the strippers there were. Catching the killer was much more important, but anyone who knew Mikkish also knew he couldn't resist the kind of hedonistic pleasure a strip club provided. "Sure, we can watch your ghost friend perform." Mikkish said with a smirk. He paid no mind to how far $30 would take him, and only thought about the scantily clad, gorgeous women dancing "We will have our meeting afterwards."
I give a heavy sigh not really interested in the whole strip club idea. "Really? I'd rather stay here to be honest. Not really my style to go to places like that. But, well I guess we can go to my dorm for the meet up. Probably not as crowded as your guys' rooms......But nobody-" I give a quick glare to Mikkish. "Nobody will touch or go through my things. Fair enough you guys? Mine shouldn't be too crowded." I say crossing my arms.
Jinx smiled at Rue, "I understand, believe me it ain't my cup of tea either but, if it's one step closer to a good night's sleep, then I am taking it. Actually it used to be quite a snazzy Jazz club about 40 years ago before budget cuts and new ownership changed it to a strip joint. I even told Dalia that, but no, she was determined to perform at the Red Garnet, no matter what. She missed her shot before or something. Hence why my physical form needs to be there though, so in about two hours I will be there." She swore, turning around and heading back to the school before turning back, "I forgot my books in the hallway, I will be right back." She back to grab her bag, watching as they carted the student away and began to clear the crowd. When she came back out she spoke up to Mikkish, "Your invited if you want. You can keep an eye on Dalia while I give her my body on loan. She's out there. Oh god. She's gonna let people see me nude. I know I'm going to fucking regret this." She walked towards her motorcycle, shaking her head as she was mumbling to herself. She grabbed her helmet slapping it on her head before taking a seat, "Do you need a ride? or you good?"
She also looked at Martyn with a wide smile,"You can come to sweetie if ya want? Do you have a ride?"
Mikkish looked at Jinx, then at her bike. He wasn't really in love with the idea of seeing her dance on stage before. But once he saw that she had a motorcycle, he was in love. "Uh...yeah. I don't exactly know the bus routes here. I could use a lift." He said. 'Wow, a badass Russian necromancer chick...with a bike? Why didn't I see it before? This girl is awesome.'
Jinx smirked and motioned to the seat behind her before pulling another helmet out of her backpack and held it out to him, "If this is to small your out of luck, Sparky. I drive fast but I'm sure you can handle yourself." She turned to Martyn, "I can come back for you if you wish? It shouldn't take to long." She looked back at Mikkish with a small smile, "It only takes about twenty minutes to get there. Dalia said she would be near the alley out back, so we better head out soon." She lifted her heel to push up the kickstand and rev up the engine as she waited for Martyn's response and for Mikkish to get on the bike.
Mikkish walked up casually to the bike and took a seat behind Jinx. It was a little small, and hurt his butt, however he couldn't complain. He was going to a strip club. "I'm ready, 'Sparky'" Mikkish said, mocking Jinx when he said "sparky."
Jinx gave a hearty laugh, "You American's imitation of the Russian accent is most entertaining." She began to speak in a southern drawl like Mikkish, "Although, I do admire the short rugged twang of a cowboy." She laughed at her own imitation before turning to look at Martyn, "Are you coming or not сахар?"
"I-i-I-i-I'm going to stay here." Martyn says nervously. "I-i mean at the dorms I don't t-think any places l-like a c-c-c-club... or something is my place." Martyn looked down quietly and shyly. "I-i think i'm just going to relax and watch books and r-r-read tv... I-I mean the other way around." he smiled softly nodding happily
Jinx nodded towards Martyn, "I understand. It's not something you want to see anyway caxap." She turned to Rue, "We will meet you within two hours, at your dorm." She paused, "Along with Pizza. Nока!" She clenched the bars tightly, and lifted her feet as she accelerated forward at a quick speed into the ongoing traffic. She laughed, enjoying the speed and quick pace of the motorcycle. She called out so Mikkish would hear her, "It shouldn't be to far. The club is just up the way." She turned the corner, barely dodging a pole and a car, before she darted back into the winding traffic, her speed slowing as she came up to a large slick black and red painted building. She pulled over, as she kicked down the kickstand turned off the engine pulling off the keys. She hoped off, her boots hitting the pavement as she undid her helmet and shoved it in her bag. She paused, looking up at the large illuminated red letters, The Red Garnet. "You know this place looks almost swanky if it weren't for the half clad women, and large steroid infused beef heads trying to blow a load." She smirked, heading around towards the back alley, as she motioned for Mikkish to follow. She moved into the gritty garbage dunk section, and called out to a young woman giving another man a blowjob, "YO! FUCK OFF..PERVERTS. WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS IS YOUR PUBLIC BEDROOM! VAMOOSE! GOD...DALIA.. couldn't you have spooked them off or something." She stopped walking outside the back entrance to the club as the couple ran away in shame and embarassment, "Yes..yes..I am sorry I am late." She paused, "This is Mikkish, he's a friend who wanted to see you perform." "NO! Don't give him any ideas either. Okay, here is how this works. I give you an hour and a half, to have full control of brain function, limb control and awareness. If you put me through any type of pain, even a second your times done and I will kick you the fuck out. I am always watching and paying attention so don't get me pregnant, killed or raped pleased. Now walk towards me, and let's get this over with." She turned to Mikkish, "See you in an hour and a half, and don't have to much fun." She moved, forward her body seeming to hit something before jolting forward in a hesitant gasp. She then straightened and turned, her posture slightly feminine and her eyes wide. She spoke softly, the Russian accent vanished, to expose an American accent, "Well hello honey. Mmm...What I could do to you. Shame the bear doesn't let us play, but believe me only a man know what a man wants." She stretches, pulling off the jacket, and waving her hand, through her hair, "Well come on. I have a show to do." She knocks on the door, and a large man in black gives her a smirk, "You's the new girl?" She raises her hands, "Who else? Is my costume ready?" He raises an eyebrow, "Yeah...come on in." She heads inside, motioning for Mikkish to join her as she heads into the back silky club. A cute little red head in a stiff green corset and fluffy panties walks up, "Hey. I will show you to your dressing room. Uh. Dalia is it?" Dalia took a step forward and grabbed her by the waist before kissing her wickedly, and then letting her go, "Ya damn right babe. DAMN BEING ALIVE IS THE GREATEST! HERE.." She moves back to slap Mikkish in the shoulder, "Give this good ol American, a well deserved lap dance. On the Bear..I mean my tab. I know where my dressing room is." She leans up whispering into Mikkish's ear, "You owe me one later. " She laughs then smacks him on the ass and heads towards her dressing room, as Jinx facepalm's in the backroom of her conscience.
It took Mikkish immense self control not to blush at the smack on the ass. Perhaps the spirit possessing Jinx was once male, but Jinx, as far as he knew, never was. "Aright, 'Dalia.' I will pay what I owe. Always do!" He shouted excitedly, as he was provided with his much desired lap dance. Man oh man, whatever happened tonight, he would tease Jinx for it forever after. At the same time, though, Mikkish had a hidden side that was concerned for Jinx. He didn't want her getting sexually abused...at least not too hard. He was already developing a liking for her.
Library Investigation I went up to the librarian's desk and smiled. "Hello again, I was hoping you could help me with something." I said, I was wondering about how to go about this... I mean asking about such things could land me in boiling water... however... I didn't like the idea of lying to him. The old librarian looked up to see Joe, with the same rough expression as before, but without any suspicion this time. The old man said nothing, and waited to hear what help Joe needed. "Well... first I was wondering if you provided maps of the city, and... oh... how do I explain this... well... I was looking for a book about rituals, specifically ones that require... er... human sacrifices... with possibly specific deaths... gouging of the eyes for one victim... and burning the second alive." I said, god this sounded shady. The old mans face scowled into an appalled expression "I got maps, kid. But I don't know what you're going on about with this human sacrifice...and gouging eyes shit. Rituals involving human sacrifice are illegal here. No idea where you're from." The old man grabbed a map from under his counter and placed it in front of Joe "Here." The old man said, shaking his head and turning back to his duties. "...Sorry, I know that they're appalling, I was merely just looking into something... and... could I get a second one? One for personal use, the second I'm using as a reference... tracking something." I said, though this didn't help much, it did reveal one thing, these rituals were illegal, someone researching these would have to go through much more trouble than normal in order to gain knowledge of a legitimate ritual. "Books on how to perform sacrificial rituals are illegal, just like the rituals. You won't be finding any books on em here. And tracking what? That sounds creepy, boy. I don't want nothing to do with it. You're lucky I gave you that map." The old man said. The map not only showed the whole island and showed all the areas, but was enchanted as well. Whenever a person touched their finger to a marked area on the map, they automatically learned a small amount of info about the place. I took a deep breath, it might be best if I told him my intentions, he was a librarian and he'd be very knowledgeable about certain things, if he believed me, then he could be a great source of information and guidance. "...I'm investigating the murders, one just occurred no less than an hour ago, right here at the school... I was present at both scenes... I even tried to help the girl, she was burning alive, but I was too weak, she died... so I wanna try and help the investigation in any way that I possibly can, I don't want anyone else to get harmed, I was thinking that there's a possibility that the murders might be for a ritual, I was going to use one map to mark the areas where the murders took place, maybe see if there was a pattern or maybe somewhere that was close by that could potentially be the place where the murderer hides out... I needed the other map since I'm still new here, I'd need it to get around." I said. The librarian sighed through his nose "That was the only map I got here. We have computers though, and you know, google maps. As for the rituals, books on conjuration might help." The librarian turned to Joe again "Kids like you shouldn't get involved though. The wiser thing to do is let the authorities handle it. But I can't really stop you I guess." "Trust me, I agree wholeheartedly." I mumbled. "Thank you for your time and assistance." I said, I bowed and then walked to the conjuration section, maybe there might be something there that might mention something about a ritual like this... Then I can just print off a map from the computers and then my work here'll be done. The old man said nothing, and went right back to his job. The conjuration section was between the section of Soul Studies and Demonology. Perhaps a fitting place. Conjuration was pursued by many young mages on the island, and all the popular books had been checked out, but it was a big selection and there were still many texts on conjuration to choose from. "...Hm... there's a lot missing... but of course, people would probably go for the newer texts since they'd have the most pertinent and reliable information... and they wouldn't allow any new and popular conjuration books mention much about rituals... so it'd likely be in an older book, something that most people just pass by day after day, never giving it a second glance, something that would likely slip by most of the staff and authorities." I thought as I walked through the section, looking for a book that would fit that bill. None of the books available there would go into much detail. Some might give hints about whatever ritual might be attempted in the near future. The topic of human sacrifice was not hard to find in the books of this library...only the details and instructions on how to enact such a ritual. It was tough to decide what to get... so I just grabbed three with varying topics on the subject and difficulty, there must have been something in one of them that would at least have some mention of the ritual... hopefully one would have just a few vague details and a name, that's all I'd need. I went to the computers next and found one that was available... I hoped that they'd have a map of this island available... luckily for me, they appeared to... I guess that having connection to the island that didn't exist on a normal map it would allow me to know more about it. I printed off a map of the island and then went back to the librarian's desk and set the books on the counter, sliding them over to him. "I think these three might have what I'm looking for.... hopefully." I said, I knew I'd be able to go through the books fairly quickly, all those years surrounding myself with books made me a speedy reader. The old man sighed, honestly hoping the young boy he was speaking with wouldn't get himself killed. "Alright." He said reluctantly, checking each due date to make sure it appeared. He didn't want this kid getting hurt, so he wanted to make sure the book was out of his possession ASAP. "Alright. Checked out. Be careful." He said, shaking his head and then turning away to his computer. I took the books and and bowed politely. "I will do my best and I will do my best not to take any unnecessary risks." I said, with that, I turned and left the library, then made my way to my dorm.
I smile waving my hand as the two left by motorcycle. "Well that's going to be interesting....Heh I do hope they bring the pizza. That'll one good thing tonight." I look over towards Martyn. "Well then if you wanna come you can come but they might be a while. So if there is anything you want to do first. By all means go ahead. " I say before making my way back towards the dorms. "I wonder what Joe is doing after the way he walked away. Ugh I hope he won't be an issue later....heh. Oh well. " I go inside of the dorms and make my way up towards my room to clean up any messes I had like strewn clothes. "Phew that should be good enough.....Whatever good enough in my opinion." I jump down on the bed and sigh heavily pulling out a stone. "I'll have to get a replacement soon." I say pulling out my knife and begin sharpening it with the stone while I wait.
Dalia smiled as she headed into the dressing room, of one of the highest paid strippers at the club. It was currently unoccupied and extremely grungy. The red walls were worn and the pictures dusty. Clothes, condoms, and beauty products were strewn across the floor, and the dim lighting of the room was of a higher quality then the last time she entered this room. She paused moving to one of the pictures in the corner, her mouth going dry as she rubbed away the dust to expose four beautiful women strutting out their stocking covered legs, in high coloured beaded costumes. She touched the big blonde haired woman in the middle and covered her mouth, "It's been so long since I've seen my own face.." A sudden noise pulled her from her reverie and she turned to see a thin blonde woman with stars on her breasts and dollar bills in her g-string. She put her hands on her hips and stared at Jinx, "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU? What are you doing in my dressing room." Dalia bit Jinx's lip, "Your dressing room. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY DRESSING ROOM. YOU TRUSSLED UP TROLLOP! I made this damn place what it was." She opened her eyes wide, "Jesus...woman. I have been working here for five years now and have never seen you before. Chill out." Dalia wanted to cry, "Years...yes...I'm sorry..my uh..grandmother used to work here." The young girl cocked her head to the side and wrapped a kimono around her almost naked body, "Who's your grandmother?" She spoke softly, "Dalia Maron." The girl jolted up right, "YOUR GRANDMOTHER WAS DALIA MARON? She was a Queenie, back in the forties. I never knew she had a kid. I'm sorry about what happened to her. She was a good performer." Dalia's lip quivered, "You remember me? I mean her.." The girl shrugged, "I want to be a historian. She was half the reason I strip here. It's good money, but it helps pay for school, and I also enjoy the fact that this place had some character before it became..well this." Dalia, smiled wide, "I can't believe you actually remembered the Queens. We..I mean they, were very special to me. Do you know what happened to the rest of them. I never..I mean my grandmother never told me." The girl smiled, "Well Alia, met a guy from New Orleans and moved to New York, Dana became a Rockette and Lidia actually became a Broadway performer. She dedicated a few performances to your grandmother, I believe." Dalia sat unable to hold herself up as she processed this new information, "How did you find this out?" The stripper smiled,"I did a project on this place for a class, and that's how I ended up getting the job." Dalia shook her head a laugh barrelling from her mouth, "Oh..look at me. I have a show to do in a few minutes here. Um do you mind if I borrow some of your makeup their sugar. A girls got to look good." The girl moved to the side,"Yeah sure. Here I will help. Plus I have a costume you can use. Here.." Both the girls began to tussle about getting ready for Dalia's next show as Jinx gave a warm smile sub-conciously.
I went up to my room and organized all of my notes and books, and then I pinned the map that I had printed out to the wall. "Alright... so let's see..." I mumbled, I grabbed some string, two thumbtacks, and a protractor and compass, I estimated where the crime scenes were and then put the compass at the center of it and drew a circle that would equate to about forty to fifty miles, then did the same with the other crime scene, it was to estimate where the killer was hiding out, if you were going to commit a crime then you'd likely want a place nearby where you can hide out. Then I put the thumbtacks on the map, one for each scene and then tied a string around one, and then tied the other end of the string to the other. "Alright, done." I thought, I put my supplies away and crossed my arms. "...Hm... I'll need more information before I can try to narrow down his possible location... but this would serve well if the murders have to take place in a certain pattern, it would make it possible to know where the next murders would take place and they'd be able to stop him..." I mumbled. Now, it was a question of where to go... I could check out the crime scene here since it's close and work my way out, it made the most logical sense... Then I can head to the next scene and maybe the police station... I mean there was a chance that they might let me in on the investigation... I mean I'm not affiliated with the police department, and so long as I was wrong about the book being the killer's interest, then that meant I could learn information much easier than them, people that were involved would be more cautious around cops, but around some observer they'd let their guard down... and also if they're very busy, they might just throw me a bone. I looked over at a small black leather notebook that had been poking out of my trunk, it must've gotten to the top when I had been rifling through for the supplies I had needed, it would fit in my pocket easily... I knew it was completely blank. I had always wanted to be a detective... I bought that notebook god knows how long ago... I thought a few times it was just merely a fantasy, that it would never happen. But... maybe... maybe it would happen. I could become a great detective, be able to see through the lies that people tell, be able to bring the truth to light, and bring the culprit to justice. I picked up the book and a pen and slipped them into my pocket. "Alright, it's time to formally begin the investigation." I thought. I walked outside, knowing that investigating this scene while it's fresh would be a good idea... though god knows how many people could have messed the scene up. I walked over to the scene and took a deep intake of breath and then exhaled silently, readying myself to see the burnt tree again... possibly with the horribly charred girl beneath it. I could feel a deep guilt grip my heart... I could have done something if I had just been strong enough... but... it's over now... the only thing I could do for her now is to catch her killer and make sure that they never take another life ever again.
The strip club was alive with half naked women twisting about on poles, and men climbing over top each other to slip the simple bills for a slice of attention. The smell of cheap whiskey and overused perfume filled the large room, which was barely lit except for the grandeur chandeliers covered in dust, and the simple lighting above the booths were the men would accept lap dances. Dalia had instructed the DJ to play one of her favorites, and she was about to perform on the mainstage. She looked to the left where a young brunette thrusted against a pole. That was where Dalia was usually placed, never able to be the main attraction of the show. Never earning the adoration of every man in the room. She turned to look into the mirror, to see a stranger. It had taken a lot to remove the dark shadows of the girl's eyes, the pale texture of her skin and the ratty waves of the thick black hair, but now she was almost pretty. Dalia had always found blondes to be more fair. She enjoyed the simplicity of peaches, pinks and lace, instead of the bold reds, blacks, and silk that adorned this body. It would have to do though, and the red lipstick did make the girl look sultry. Suddenly a sound filled the room and Dalia turned from the mirror to tug at the thick wool of the curtain. She could feel the lights darkening and the sound of the Dj's voice feeling the club, "Now presenting, in recognition of an old classic here at the Red Garnet Miss Dalia Maron." Dalia smiled as she walked out on stage, her black heels hitting the wood hard. She stood towards the curtain her back to the crowd giving them a good view of the light silk jade colored dress that flowed down her body. She motioned to the DJ as the light focused on her. e filled the club and the sultry sounds of "I'm Feeling Good." sway with the movement of Jinx's body. She bent her foot jetting out as her hand lifted up to grab at nothing. She twisted, moving her hips to the beat as she faced the crowd, her black hair flowed out. She gripped the microphone with her black manicured nails and begins to sing, her voice carrying across the crowd, "Birds flying high, You know how I feel, Sun in the sky, You know how I feel, Breeze driftin' on by, You know how I feel, It's a new dawn, It's a new day, It's a new life, For me, And I'm feeling good, I'm feeling good." She pulled away halfway through as she kept singing her dress peeling off to expose a black and green lace lingerie style corset that showed off her slim body. She kept singing as she moved forward sinking to her knees, legs spread as she bowed back, her hair sweeping against the stage, "Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean, Sleep in peace when day is done, That's what I mean, And this old, world is a new world, And a bold world, For me." She sat up, crawling towards a young blonde man, before she twisted to be sitting down and drape her leg against his shoulder, so she could lean down to sing softly in his face. He leaned forward as if for a kiss as Dalia pulled back twisting backwards to land on her feet at a break in the music. She begins to pull at her corset her head falling back at a high note and she opens the corset to expose the lace bra that barely covered her skin. "Stars when you shine, You know how I feel, Scent of the pine, You know how I feel, Oh freedom is mine, And I know how I feel, It's a new dawn, It's a new day, It's a new life..." She flung her corset away and trotted forward, wiggling her hips as she finished the song. Her voice was gentle, and her eyes looked over the crowd, as she envisioned her dream. The men were in suits instead of grubby street clothes, the lights were dull and the club was vibrant with music, scotch and her friends replaced the strippers. She closed her eyes for a second as she stood in a silk white bra and diamond studded shoes. Her blond hair was set with perfect ringlets and her skin was a soft peachy tone with pink lips highlighting her soft green eyes. She was performing and the crowd loved her. Suddenly the last cord of the song ensued and light finally consumed her. "It's a new dawn, It's a new day, It's a new life, It's a new life, For me and I'm feeling good, I'm feeling good, I feel so good, I feel so good." Jinx stared out into the bright lights, slightly woozy. She looked down in shock and quickly covered her boobs, as a wide smile filled her face and her russian accent barrelled through her words, "Uh, and that's the show...folks.." She turned covered her barely clad ass until she was behind the curtain and the crowd erupted in cheering. Jinx headed straight for the bathroom and puked up her guts, as her extremely pink cheeks showed her enormous embarrassment and fear. "Good show Dalia..shame you didn't hear the crowd."
When Mikkish had entered the club with Jinx, his $30 got him a single, overpriced shot of whiskey and five minutes of a lap dance. Mikkish planned on staying in the club and staring at the girls on stage, but was thrown out once the manager noticed Mikkish wasn't throwing the performer any tips. As a result, Mikkish was outside, leaning against the wall of the club, and begging for change from everyone who passed by, with little success, during Jinx' entire performance. "Fuck. Wonder how long this shits gonna take with Jinx." He said to himself, as all of sudden he heard the crowd go crazy inside.
