Questions Would Hillary Clinton be a viable candidate if she were not the wife of a former President? Would she have a chance of becoming President if Bill wasn't working behind the scenes for her?
well, i'm sure she would never have been able to run for a senate seat in a state she'd never been a resident of before, much less won it, were she not... thus, would surely not have been in a position to run for the big one... if by 'working' you mean calling in favors owed him for favors done while in the WH, along with using his clout to hit up folks for money, probably not...
I agree Maia 100%. This is what I hate about her. SHe ran in NY for a reason, primarily because next to California, it's one of the most Democrate heavy states in the US and from my understanding, the state in general was rather found of Bill.
loh... as a born and bred ny-er, i took particular umbrage at her waltzing in and usurping real empire staters' rights... but that's the clintons fer ya...
Unfortunately, I was 3 when Clinton was elected the second time I can't really judge on the helping behind the scenes matter, although I think if he was, there would be no contest between Obama and Clinton, because most of the voters would've been around to here Bill say what Hilary is saying now if this was true. The only thing going through Bill's head is, "Oh God They're Gonna call me the first lady aren't they?" And I don't think Hilary being Bill's wife has any effect on the election. That's a good idea, agreed.
born at mt. vernon hospital, when my parents lived on eastchester road in the bronx... then on to various parts of yonkers [huntsbridge rd, glover ave, alexander ave], on to valhalla... went to hs in briarcliff manor, since valhalla didn't have one... many years/lives later, i lived for a while on the 15th floor at one lincoln center, right across from the fountain... why do you ask?... are you a ny-er, too?
