Good thing I'm not one of them. Given my past experiences with "breeding seasons" I might not ever be invited to land.

A snows (frosts) metal on Venus on the mountain caps. It's mostly Bismuthinite and Galena, but it gives the radar images a nice shine like snow. This is a factor of the extreme heats on the surface turning the metal to a gaseous state, which cools in the breezy Carbon Dioxide layers at the mountain tops at around 900 F.

...and now I'm going to write a poem about it...I love everything I learn about space.

The first Cartoon Network show I remember was Ed, Edd, and Eddy.... in German. I had no idea what they were saying, but it was hilarious.
When my dad went back to the US for a funeral, he came back with 2 VHS tapes that was nothing but Nickalodean and Cartoon Network shows that he had recorded for us so that we could watch it in English. After that, (and realizing we liked the shows), he got a satellite or something like that because somehow, my brother and I were able to watch Saturday Morning cartoons. Dont know what channels they were, but I remember Boy Meets World, Sabrina, The Weekenders, Pepper Anne, The Wild Thornberry's, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Pokemon and Digimon, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, and another supernatural show that this panther spirit thing follow this family of rockers across the country that was the daughter's spirit guide thing.
And instead of regular commercials, clips from School House Rock would play between shows.

    -sighs-

    good times. good times.

The -tain of maintain, obtain, sustain, retain, detain and entertain all represent the same root and come from Latin tenere (Modern Spanish tener) meaning to have.

The reason taste changes so radically during pregnancy is because the woman's olfactory system is adapting to the scent of their to-be born.

Barbie, the doll has a full name. It's Barbra Millicent Roberts.

Poor Barbie had her well-defined nipples ground off when she was created (from a bordello-token doll).

I think she was mutilated more than that—downstairs she and Ken are identical, both missing their girl or boy parts...

I don't recall if the original doll had genitalia. Given materials and mass production standards of the day, it would likely be a mangled representation. Talk about symbolic castration!

OH MY GOHHD!! They have no buttholes!! What have we done! :supercry:

The Star Wars Holiday Special was technically canon & part of the greater Star Wars lore/continuity until 2015.
