Don't bother, CT. We're clearly dealing with philistines, untrained in the classics...

I did see Jurassic Park when I was a child (which was over 20 years ago now) but I don't remember the vast majority of it. Why would I? I can't see me ever needing to remember how to be an idiot around some long extinct prehistoric Godzilla kin. o_O

I feel old. I was already a veteran when I saw it opening day in the theater.

I remember I was high when I first saw it. 1993? Sounds about right.

This... is the original Ronald McDonald.
You instantly understand why McDonalds changed his likeness... He looks like he could've been in IT. He looks like the type of clown you hire when you hate your kids and want to give them nightmares.
And it still boggles my mind it then took McDonalds another 30 years to work out people don't like clowns and don't want to look at them while eating.

One time I saw Ronald McDonald driving a big white van. It made me wonder.

But the question of rules the roost was settled this morning when a tough-looking hen wild turkey and three mostly-grown chicks ambled into the yard and settled themselves under the feeder, where they rummaged at will. Not a chipmunk nor squirrel nor other bird of any sort to be seen anywhere until long after they left. And, having been threatened by wild turkeys before, I don't blame them. In fact, I'm sometimes amazed that the New England turkeys didn't chase the Pilgrims back onto the Mayflower and send them packing.

No idea why, but whenever I do strenuous activity (it's lawn day here three inches from the equatorial sun) my right eustachian occasionally gets stuck open. Not closed like when you can't pop your ear on an airplane, but open. When I breath through my nose, I can feel and hear the circulation behind my right eardrum. :wtf:

That happens to me when I run sometimes. It's pretty annoying.

That actually sounds frightening. Like, you shouldn't even be able to hear your own circulation. :ohno:

If you ever get a chance to go into an Anechoic chamber,(soundless room) take it. It's one of the most memorable and bizarre experiences you'll ever have in your life.
There are noises inside you that you never realize are going on until to try it...

Granted, I have listened to the electrical charges in my head (y'know, the 'buzzing' you hear in the back of your skull? That's your brain's electrical wave at work.)

My tinnitus is very mild, but even so, I'll bet that's all I would hear.

Mine is like a hot summer in Florida when the cicadas come out.

My left ear is fine, but my right is cicadas through a closed window. In an anechoic chamber it would be another matter entirely I suspect.

Mine sort of moves between a soft hum and air raid sirens randomly.

Ever since pooburtee, I've heard my heartbeat in my ears, and that ringing is more of a harmonic like the THX Dolby.
