    Calypso

Garan was the only one who hadn't gotten in a coffin to rest. Calypso turned to him and said, "These are troubling times. So far we've seen this Tsi Sgili woman use Telepathy, some kind of microwave beam to crisp Tahra's bird, and Teleportation--although I don't think it was exactly Teleporting. The way she disapeared in a cloud of mist was too different. I think she probably conjured herself away. That would explain how she summoned that shiny sword from thin air."

"We can only hope she can't read minds, but I doubt it", Calypso continued. "Or else she would have anticipated our attacks better. And, of course, she's a witch so she has Magick. She didn't cast any spells, but I fear what she could do if provoked. And she probably wants revenge on all of us, especially Enio, for defeating her." Calypso offered Garan a cup of blood and gulped down her own. She felt the blood course through her body and revitalise her tired muscles--she sighed. "Get some rest. See you tomorrow night", the Princess said shortly. She left the room with a swish of her cloak. A guard stationed in the hall detached from the shadows and escorted her to her room.

    Garan Letarim

Garan woke up in a pitch black darkness. He never got used to that, and even if he tried to have a tough facade, he had always been afraid of the dark and he feared he never would get used to this vampire thing.

He lifted the lid off the coffin and felt a little stronger than yesterday. Man, he really needed that cup of blood Calypso gave him. He stood up and stretched his stiff muscles.

"Might as well have some fun while I am at it."

He cleared his throat, preparing for what he would say:

"MOOOORNING TIME, WAKEY WAKEY! He yelled as hard as he could.

He smiled. "That oughta wake 'em up."

    Tahra:

When i heard Garan's bellow i jumped, and Daakyr screeched in alarm as he launched of of my stomach into the air. In a blur i drew my dagger and was instantly on my feet, glaring at the man and shaking.

"Idiot -i thought you were that vamp again..." i gasped; my face had gone very pale and i quickly sat down. Daakyr hissed at Garan in distaste.

"Oh and Daakyr says: "next time u wake me up like that I'll peck your eyes out."" I said warningly.

    Timmothy:

When Timmothy heard the yell he bolted out of the coffin and was in front of his sister so fast his body at first appeared to be a blur. Her heart-beat was thundering loudly in his ears and as he pressed his bare feet into the floor he sensed another pulse fast enough to be awake. The dog woke up and growled in displeasure, but quickly laid back down to sleep again as Tim quickly went into a tyrade:

"What the hell man? I coulda' brought the whole place down on us!" he yelled.

    Bree Three-hands

"What the hell man? I coulda' brought the whole place down on us!" he yelled.

Bree slowly woke up to the sound of yelling. She made herself invisible and opened the lid slowly for effect. Invisible as she walked behind the small kid without a sound. this should be fun she thought to herself. perfectly timed she put her hand on his shoulder as she became visible again.

"Yelling this early in the morning could get you killed kiddo."

She rid her face of any emotion as she prepared to fend of any surprised attacks. i really love good entertainment in the morning

    Tahra:

"Bree; you do realize I'm right behind you." I said irratably as Daakyr landed on my shoudler, crossing my arms, "And Tim could smell you as well as see your pulse. Invisibility won't work on him."

    Timmothy:

Tim didn't so much as jerk in surprise when he felt the other vamp's hand on his shoulder, but shrugged it off with a hiss in warning. Why were so many people trying to irritate him today? Being woken up in such a way was bad enough -but this?

He stomped his foot faintly, making the room tremble. "I wasn't joking. And don't touch me!" he said as he pulled away from Bree.

Enio kept her eyes closed a little longer, hearing the racket coming from outside her coffin. Someone has got up on the wrong side of the bed!. Finally revealing the emerald colour of her iris she pushed aside the lid which kept her cooped up.

    - Night, fellow vampyres! -she leapt out and had a quick look around hoping to find some more of that yummy blood-. So... where is breakfast?

Her glance met Timmothy, Tahra and Bree, who seemed to be about to get into a brawl. She had just opened her mouth again when the floor started trembling beneath her steady feet. All this shaking is getting a bit annoying by now.

    - Oi, I think it is still too early to have an earthquake, don't you think? He isn't going to bring the place down on us but you might do if you carry on throwing a tantrum.

    Timmothy:

Timmothy snarled and stalked to the corner of the room, and leaned into it with crossed arms, glaring at the other vampires whom he could locate by sensing their pulses. "Yeah; better not anger 'Her Majesty'..." he muttered.

    Tahra:

"Here -I don't need it at the moment." Tahra said as she fished out the bag of blood she had stolen from the hospital and tossed it over to Enio. Daakyr cawed softly, shuffling his wings. He had shown no agitation whatsoever when the earthquake had happened- and neither had the dog, who was still sleeping peacefully beside Timmothy's coffin. She sighed, "He used to be easy to get along with," she explained, pointing to her brother, "but with what happened when we changed... I don't blame him."

    Calypso, Breakfast

"Yes, please don't bring anything down, Timothy", Calypso said. The Vampyre Princess had suddenly appeared in the doorway. She wore another velvet cloak, this one midnight blue. "Do try to control yourselves while you are in Necropolis, this is a sacred place. Anything you damage here is a personal insult to myself and the Queen, not to mention it makes you look immature." Her dark violet eyes were disapproving.

"Anyway", the Princess continued, "Hecati is awaiting us all in the dining hall with a meal prepared by her personal chefs. If you would follow me..." Calypso twirled around and slinked down the hall, swiftly pulling up her hood. She led them on a winding path deeper into the ancient heart of Necropolis. Finally they approached a paired of huge stone doors with more jagged runes. But this door didn't need a blood offering, Calypso simply placed her hands on the surface and it swung open soundlessly. They entered a rectangular chamber with a high ceiling and rows of columns carved with snarling gremlins and other evil looking creatures. There was a long stone table set with silver plates, and dishes of bloody slivers of fish and blood-infused wine were laid out. Calypso sat at a chair and instucted the others to do the same. A handful of elite guards lurked in the shadows of the columns.

At a tall Gothic carved wood chair on a raised stage, sat Hecati. The Vampire Queen wore a black gown, with wide sleeves that trailed to the ground and a extremely long skirt that spread in a black pool on the ground. Her hair free and tied with purple ribbons and she wore ox-blood red lipstick. But instead of her usual radiant, moonbright self, she had an undercurrent of green to her skin and her eyes had dark bruised circles. Behind her chair stood her Consort, a tall blonde male Vampyre in a designer charcoal suit. He had a pretty face and his yellow locks hung to his shoulders. His name was Gentry and he frequented Hecati's bed chamber to satisfy her "needs". Gentry had a priveleged position and he had more freedom than most Vampyre's in Hecati's court--he had just returned from a month long vacation all over the country. Gentry was currently rubbing Hecati's neck and whispering sweet nothings in her ear. The jaguar Nen gazed at the sick Hecati with round, sympathetic red-orange eyes and nudged her hand.

Hecati waved him off and addressed the fledglings at the table. "Enjoy the food, only the very best for my subjects", Hecati said in a weak voice. She stopped to cough delicately into her hand, and continued. "As you might have gathered, I am feeling ill. I stayed up late yesterday trying to contact Queen Pocahontas to request help in defeating Tsi Sgili...but I couldn't seem to, no matter how hard I tried. Something was blocking my mental powers, and we must assume the evil witch is corrupting my abilities. I'm afraid I exhausted myself severely trying to reach Pocahontas, I think, because I could barely rise from my luxurious coffin this early night. Anyhoo, since I couldn't reach outside help, we will have to find some here, in our fair city. There is a witchy female who owns a shop in the Shopping District called, 'House of Enchantments'. Her name is Agatha Harkness. Several times I have sensed surges of power from her shop, but I have discredited it as figments of my imagination. Now I must investigate if we are to survive this invasion. Go the House of Enchantments and bring me back the owner, by force if neccessary. It will be a great advantage if we had a sorceress on our side."

"Now, I must retire to my private chambers", Hecati finished with a weary sigh. She stood shakily, not at all her elegant self. Gentry supported her and Nen wimpered pathetically. Several masculine guards swooped to her side. As they slinked out of the hall, Hecati called back, "Oh, and Tahra--there is a box marked 'In Case of Vampyres' under your chair, good for automatically killing one enemy, unless they are called Unstakeable. Good luck to you all..." Then she was gone.

Calypso sipped from a crystal goblet of blood wine and looked around the table. "This vile creature, this witch called Disoppia, has gone to far", Calypso said in a cold voice. "She hurt my foster mothe, our ruler. She will pay. Eat up, and we will leave for the House of Enchantments to retrieve Miss Agatha. The sooner we have a magicker on our side, the better."

    Tahra:

She slid the stake out from under her chair, and after examining it, smiled thinnly and sheathed it in her belt. She had a bad feeling she would need to use it soon.

    Timmothy:

Timmothy looked curiously over at his sister with half of a peice of fish sticking out of the corner of his mouth. Swallowing it and smiling sheepishly as his sister glared at him for hi poor manners, he shrugged; grabbing a cup of blood-infused wine and grinning at her heated glare.

"What -I don't think i will get drunk from one glass, and anyways it tastes good." he said, sipping at the drink.

    Calypso

"Well, lets go to the surface", Calypso said. She scooted out of her chair and snapped her fingers. Black-clad servants glided from the dark corners and took away the plates and food. As Calypso led their group out of the dining hall, someone blew out the candles and it was thrown into pitch black.

Calypso led them aboveground threw a passage that opened into a closed hotel. The lobby had once been grande, but now it was gray and dreery and covered with dust cobwebs. "Its five blocks from here", the Vampyre Princess said. "Lets move fast. Keep up..." With that, Calypso kicked open the boarded-up front door and streaked out into the night, faster than lightning.

    Tahra:

Tahra took off after Calyspo, easilly keeping pace with the other vampire as her long hair streamed out behind her, her hands spread back with her dagger in the left fist in case they were attacked suddenly. She would not let anyone harm her brother; and it was best to be safe than sorry.

"Do you have any ideas who this "Master" might be Calypso?" she asked. "It's been bugging me that all we've talked about was the witch when there was someone controlling her -which clearly means they might be even more powerful. Maybe it could be someone that Hecati knew -it seems like the most likely answer to me."

    Timmothy:

Timmothy clambered onto the dogs back when his sister took off after the Princess. He smiled then kicked the canine gently with his heels and held on tightly to its collar as it sped off as well, keeping slightly behind the two vampires.
A silly grin covered his face as the raven his sister had as a freind flew beside him -the dog was not an ordinay animal despite its immense age. Saddly, because Tim had changed it when he had found it dying in an alley after his changing, he had lost control for thirst for blood and ended up changing the canine too. It had been given life again, but it was as old and weak as it was in its mortal days -and yet the animal was useful as a companion and for traveling at high speeds when Tim couldn't.

When he heard his siter's words, his eyes narrowed suspiciously. If it was Hecati they were talking about -the "Master" would have to be someone close to her. An image of Calypso came to his head, but he kept silent as the dog continued running.

"They might be controlling her", Calypso said. "Or Tsi Sgili could be letting them think they can control her for her own means. I don't believe for a second that Disoppia's anyones lapdog, just look at her history. Remember, only a human can use the Orb of Necromancy. Disoppia will be the one to use it when the time comes, and I'm almost certain she'll doublecross her partner, the Master. But...if this Master guy is holding that witch's leash...than I think we need to get more powerful very soon. And getting our own witch is a good way to start. As for who this Master might be..." The Princess met Tahra's eyes and said sternly, her purple eyes gleaming, "Do not trust anyone."

As they spoke they ran and they were now half a block from the witch Agatha Harkness's shop. It was squeezed in an unlikely spot between two huge business buildings. The windows were full of plants and there was a painted cardboard sign taped on the inside that read 'House of Enchantments' in clumsy writing. There were flickering lights inside--candle lights--so someone was there. A pentacle was hung on the fornt entrance. "There it is", Calypso said quietly. She led the group to the shop, but the moment she touched the front door, its pentacle glowed dark maroon and she was propelled across the street into a lamp post. She blinked--dazed for a moment--and slowly stood.

"It electrocuted me", Calypso said. "There's some sort of ward on the shop. How do we get in...?"

    Bree Three-hands

Bree had been keeping to the shadows on the way to the store. Seeing Calypso electrocuted, she slowly walked inside the ring of light from the lamppost. She is a witch, of course she has a ward on her door. Bree kept her comment for herself and walked closer to examine the building, careful not to get too close. Checking for traps and enchanted protection was one of Bree's specialties. Often used to help the owner get rid of his things.

"you alright?" she asked the princess without taking her eyes of the house.

She spotted some runes carved into the wood. They were nearly invisible, only Bree's trained eye could have spotted them so quick. Only problem was the fact that Bree had never taken the time to learn how to read them.

"Anyone here who can read these runes?"

Suddenly doubt crossed Bree's mind. Was she just being paranoid? What if the runes she saw was really just decoration.

"I am fine", Calypso replied to Bree. "And your eyes are sharp, yes those are runes. They make up a protection seal. I know because Necropolis has a blood seal on most of the entrances..." Calypso squinted at them, then shook her head. "But some of them are faded away, I can't read the entire casting. Does anyone have any other ideas?" She was getting testy. The more time they wasted, the sooner the sun would come up.

    Tahra:

Tahra whispered to her brother quickly, glancing at the street sign to make sure she was right. Then she smiled.

Striding up to the door, but keeping away enough to keep the ward from shocking her, she cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted:

"Agatha! Do you remember the name Leona? She used to work here!"

    Timmothy:

"Yeah, look out the window if you want proof!" Timmothy shouted as well, hopping up and down on the ground next to his sister but surprisingly not causing any earthquakes, "Tahra looks just like mom!"

Turning to the others, he shrugged, "Who've thunk that our mom was a chemist? And marrying a gangster to boot after working here -jeez we had crazy parents..." he grinned, revealing an adorable side of him that seemed almost the complete opposite of his usual attitude.

    The Hedge Witch

"What are you do--?", Calypso began. But then there was a commotion inside the shop, like someone had tripped over something. A mental image of the Tsi Sgili popped in Calypso's head, and she just couldn't imagine that sinewy, graceful woman tripping over anything. That was her first clue that the two witches were not the same.

The second came when a round pale face peered through the window. Her hair was a mass of curls and her droopy brown eyes made her look drowsy. She shook her head furiously, her dark curls flying. "Go away, night demon!", Agatha Harkness cried, her timid voice muffled by the glass. "Thou shall not enter...ever, ever, ever!" Then she scurried out of sight. A second later the flickering candlelight diminshed; Agatha had blown out her candles. Another moment later a 'CLOSED' sign was hung on the door.

"I don't think she's in the mood for a reunion", Calypso muttered. "Apparently she knows who--or should i say what?--we are. So, any one got any plans to get inside? Or are we just gonna wait around til sunrise." Mother will not be pleased if we return without a witch..., she thought sourly.

    Tahra:

"Guh! Jeez i thought that would work." she sighed in exasperation. Running over to a window she immediately started pounding on it with her fists. "Agatha! For Pete's sake woman we're not gonna eat you! I've had enough problems thinking of biting someone as it is -don't make me hurl!"

Tahra shuddered as she imagined herself biting into a human -or anyone in fact- for blood.

"Daakyr. Please talk some sense into her." Tahra muttered to the raven on her shoulder and the raptor took off, looking for a vent to crawl into.

"And if that doesn't work..." Tahra slowed her breathing and focused on the runes guarding the doorway. Narrowing her eyes, she focused a beam of sound at the ward, aiming to disrupt the magic flow and to shut it down.

    Timmothy:

Timothy growled in exasperation as the flighty witch hid deeper in her shop. When he saw his sister attempting to blow apart the ward he yanked her away before she produced any bad results.

"What if we tried the... you know..." he whispered in her ear, his face turning red slightly in embarrassment. His sister laughed and thumped him on the back.

"Umm, Calypso -i have an idea that'll seem kinda silly but what if i threw a tantrum like a little kid," he glared at her to keep her from saying that was what he was exactly, "then maybe we can get her to think that there's a human outside needing help and we can get her outside -or at the least get me inside so i can talk to her."

"She will expect trickery", Calypso said, tapping a finger to her chin thoughtfully. "That won't work. She probably doesn't even believe you two are who you say you are. We could be wearing guises for all she knows. No, we'll need a better plan than that. Something more...physical. The pentacle zapped me for touching it. But that doesn't mean it'll stop an speeding object. Get my drift?"

    Tahra:

"Umm... maybe Daakyr can find a way too," she said, pointing to the sky where the raven had dissapeared off to, "But then it might help to try breaking down the door with an object..."

Tahra tapped her chin, wondering what she should do.

    Timmothy:

Tim smirked confidently in Calypso's direction.

"Guess my new move can help out here!" he said, stamping one foot hard into the street and suddenly a chunk of cement cracked and rose up, hovering beside him.

"Here we go! Sorry for your door Agatha!" he shouted as he flung it with a hard shove of his hands to sent it flying in the direction of the doorway.

    Agatha Harkness

The speeding chunk of cement hit the door right in the pentacle charm and red sparks exploded everywhere. When the smoke cleared the door was destroyed and the piece of the pentacle were scattered ont he floor and glowing dark crimson. Slowly they faded and became dull, and Calypso motioned for them to advance.

Inside the shop Agatha Harkness was cowering behind her front desk. "Not another step or I'll...I'll...", she stuttered. "I'll turn you to frogs!" She wiggled her fingers threateningly and Calypso felt her skin crawl briefly, but then the sensation passed. Agatha rolled her eyes. "That's just great! Of all the times to mess up a spell, this is the worst!" Agatha slowly came from behind her desk and said, "So. What do you, uh...ladies and gentlemen...want?" She looked nervous and chewed her bottom lip anxiously.

"We need you", Calypso said. "My queen and mother, Hecati, sent us for you. We are in need of a sorceress, and apparently Hecati thinks you have some power. Although from what I've seen, I don't think so", she grumbled under her breath. Agatha squinted and sniffed, "Well, aren't you a social butterfly! Do I get to get some things before I leave, or are you going to drag me out by my ankles?" Calypso rolled her eyes and told her to get her things. A moment later Agatha returned with a woven basket of candles, herbs, several wands and a thick animal-skin-bound spell book. "Lets g--", Calypso began, but then she saw the thick rolling mist that was obscuring the street through the shop window and the gaping door. It was like a solid white wall; three dark figures were barely visible standing in the middle of the street.

"Vampyressss", Calypso hissed. She jabbed a finger at Agatha. "Can you make them poof away, witch lady?"

Agatha straightened her shoulders and fluffed her curly hair with a smug grin. "Well, I can't do that, but I can whip up a small breeze, or light a candle, or make my eyes entirely black..." She noticed Calypso's steely look and cleared her throat. "No, I can't poof them away", Agatha grumbled. "I'm kind of a low grade witch...a hedge witch, I'm called. I can only do little cantrips and charms. But sometimes I get flashes of clear sight and powerful Deep Magic. Maybe if I meditate hard enough--"

"Cease", Calypso snapped. She faced the milky fog outside. "I guess we have to handle this..."

    Nethan Barnes

I follow the beautiful voice in my head. It was so alluring. I was completely taken off my task to murder someone so make some extra cash so I could buy a new car. I had all my equipment with me as I always did when on a mission. I walked into a cave looking around, wondering where I was, where I was going and why I was going there. Even though I knew I was gonna get myself into some deep shit once I got there I keep taking more and more steps forward. I walked down the tunnels as I heard voices. Loud voices and the beautiful voice in my head kept luring me. I ran at my top speed for what was ahead of me when I ran into a giant place I had never seen before. I looked all around and saw people I don't know. I grabbed my katana but did not draw it just incase of any trouble. "Hello...."

    Hecati Speaks...

"Nethan Barnes...", Hecati said in her sultry voice from her beautiful silver throne. She was incredibly gorgeous, as if she was made of moonlight. But she also looked rather weak and frail, and her Consort--a blond male Vampyre named Gentry--stayed nearby holding her hand. Even her ferocious jaguar, Nen, looked sad and he whimpered softly at her feet. "Sorry for my condition, I seem to have taken ill. A ancient witch named Disoppia is responsible, she is in league with a mysterious Vampyre called 'the Master' and they've created an army. I've heard of your fighting prowess, Nethan. Go help my daughter and her mates in their mission, keep them safe, and I'll give any amount of money you ask for..."

With that she waved her hand and Nethan teleported through a dark void into a small shop with a shattered door. Calypso saw him appear and said, "Mother sent you, eh? well theres three vamps outside that want us dead, so I hope you can fight."

I look at the girl in front of me. She speaks of Vamps. I pull out my blade and dose it in Holy Water. Demons, should be killed by this. I look at her with my hazel eyes. "I'm gonna go take a look at those things outside. It is a fluke that I get to come out here and kick ass all over the gaf." I said as I busted through to door of the shop and ran at one of the Vamps with a slice straight up it's body.

A single gunman sat four buildings away from Aagtha's Shop. He held a Barrett m107 sniper rifle and was scoping out Agatha's Shop. He had been there for quite some time watching the scenario play out. His breathing was steady almost non existant even. His name currently is unimportant. What is imoportant is what his job is. He had been hired by Queen Hecati to aide in this conflict that apparently become to dangerous. It had. 2 unfreindly looking vampires and a fledgling had showed up and looked rather vicious from the gunman's view. The man smiled coldly and slowly placed his mark on the fledling and pulled the trigger. The barret's bullet naturally has enough power to smash cinder blocks and tear though the metal on cars. The gunmen smiled at what it would do to his targets.
