Visceral Violence!

Can anyone please(!) explain to me what 'visceral violence' means? It's been driving me crazy for 3 days straight!

I have no idea what context you're asking from, but that sounds like gore. It's like the violence from Saw as opposed to Bourne Identity.

 

I assume that visceral violence is a type of violence, but what kind is it? And, what does visceral mean?

 

It comes from viscera, an organ (in this case, it stands for entrails). It means a particularly gory type of violence where you can see the entrails of the victim.
