Tell us, Johnny, of your noble quest I know not the rules, but you are surely the best! And what are "campaigns," in terms of this game? I have a feeling that political ones are not quite the same. And what exactly is this game's timeless appeal? My father played it 20 years ago with the same sort of zeal. Of dragons, dwarves, and other creatures of fantasy I cant help but feel the pull of the games mystery; Is it a game of luck, math, strategy? Perhaps I'll try it myself, give it a see...
It is with rhymes the day did start with one known as Wrey don't let the rhymes keep us a part Join us in word play
That sounds great, you guys are having fun, we get a few encounters in before our day is done We're still on level one, and fighting weak foes, but close to level two, maybe next time, who knows. Our sorceror shot a fire ball at a goblin of a horde and single shotted him (it was sweet) and then scattered his ashy corpse FYI Avenger class kinda sucks, they're like emo pallidins, they have no armor and weak attacks, they ain't packin' I wish I could in a poet's form, there is so much to tell, of creatures, quests, and epic deeds, and charms, and...spells. The stuff of legend, dream, and nerdiness, of a class unsurpassed, a little tactics, a little fun, and a lot of bloody clash!
I would like to join the fun, but my rhyming skill is kind of poo, And when all is said and done, I would still rather watch Doctor Who.
Your rhyming games sound really fun but it now time for my time here to be done I must now say adious because my time is at a close
I have a little pet Dalek, Only one little pet Dalek, Because try as I might, No matter what I write, 'Dalek' only rhymes with 'Dalek'.
@Johnathan Thanks for the input and 'splaining to me Perhaps I'd be best to Bing, Google, and Wiki To learn the ins and outs of this game, complex And if the Web reveals none, it's you I must...hex?
I lament that I suck at this game, my skills are just kind of lame. I just can't compare, it's not even fair I'm regretting that I even came
Golly gee...look at the time 5:00 and the weekend's mine should I have some taquila and lime No...go to the movies and stand in line I'm volunteering to chaperone youth I'm kinda nervous and afraid I'm so vulger and uncouth Too bad I'm not getting paid Have a fun day, fun day fun day See you on all on Monday
It be a very intricate game, Learn it in a few googles you shan't 'Tis an open-ended pastime; there is no shame The rules fill up volumes, none of them scant.
It seems my nerdy rhymes do not appeal, So time to try a different angle, How about something a bit more surreal, Or is this rhyme already a mangle?
Like Carmina, I too must soon depart For Jason Bourne, he owns my heart Tonight he will learn his identity Tomorrow establishes supremacy It also doesnt hurt that Matt Damon is hot He's someone I like to look at a lot. Cogito, oh no! But I havent the patience nor fortitude I suppose it's a challenge for another day and mood. I'm wishing you well; good night to you all Another day on you I shall call....
D20srd.org I recommend Though house rules often break formal, I contend The crux is most important, really Don't punish dissenters too severely. Balance has often been shown to be off (20th level Monk? Makes me scoff!) And though each class may stand you in good stead Bards often rush in ahead Besides, a bard, spoony or nay Has skills most useful in peace or fray Invisibility, for perversion Yet still a subversion Of such a cliché as the 'promiscous bard' Will make your friends say: "Oh, such a card!" For maximum comedy, make him an elf Out of touch with reality, others, himself! For true enjoyment in Dee and Dee Comes from humor - not taking it seriously! A wise man once said: "It's the journey that counts."
Much praise I must pay to the members elite! Wordsmiths at play! A literary treat! Happy weekend to all!
I am very relaxed now. I've been on this high-energy optimism kick as of late, and while optimism is good, it's not good to be this high up there all the time. I'm taking the much-needed steps back and relaxing, settling into a more neutral mood.
