Yeah. On the one hand, I like it because there are far worse things they could be doing, but the noise they make is terrible. So many kids don't have a computer at home, so they come to use the library computers.

But anyway, I hate that too. I hate anyone who doesn't have respect for reading, authors or libraries. "Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them" (Lemony Snicket) is what I live by.

 

good point, theres a lot of high school kids in my library that go intending to do study and research and end yapping about what they JUST did in school, its banal.

I wanna say that college kids r better, but I know better than that, Ive been to college too, I was just as bad when I went and did the same thing

 

What I don't understand is how some people need noise to get work done. I need absolute silence.

 

me too, people claim to be able to do work with the TV or music on, it can be largely distracting in my opinion, depending on the work, and its often so hard to find silence

I LOVE him. Very very much!! He's resting at home, or so says the most recent news, and is back on the job Monday. I was wondering why the Tonight Show was a repeat yesterday. He was doing a skit--a race--with Teri Hatcher and fell and hit his head.

He's self-deprecating though so you can bet on some concussion jokes.

 

yeah thats the cool thing about him, he is willing to make fun of himself
