Hi! Yeah, isn't it pretty late there? It's only 9 here. :)

But I'll probably need to go to bed soon, too. Worky work early in the morning, and I start my manager training (finally)!

Thanks! :) I'm happy, but starting to get nervous. Don't really know why, because it's nothing I haven't done before...guess it's just been a while.

    Overtaken with what?

Oh, District 9 was pretty good. Funnier than i thought, (but overall very serious). A decent movie.

Most certainly worth a watch in my opinion. (I had the advantage of only knowing about it for 12 hours before i saw it mind you).

Bit slow in the middle, and the back end could have been better/tighter. But still one of the better movies i have seen this year. Helps after seeing G.I Joe (Whiuch was the worst movie i have seen in ages).

    Very worthwhile.

I liked some of the character development in the movie. From the MC (obvious when you wtach it), and his companion!

    4/5 from me.

Hah. I have a friend who's been raving about G.I. Joe for ages, so when it came out I changed my MySpace status to "Oh, look. G.I. Joe's out. Now let's all get on with our lives."

This annoyed him a lot. :D

One of the worst movies ever. I only went because i wanted popcorn and coke.

Looked okay (too much star wars feel to it for my liking), but the story could be followed and understood by a 5 year old. Just not complex enough (and complex is good for me). I dont want to know whats going to happen 20 minutes before it does!

Oh, and the flashbacks were so funny and stupid, that is was stupid and funny. I'll skip the sequels.

I just realised they are going to show a few trailers in D9 of Avatar. Not worth me going and seeing D9 again though. (For that, that is)

Oh and after watching D9, i actually hope PJ and His mate do go on and do Halo (Show bungie HOW to make something decent into something that can be better then money fodder) D9 was a perfect example they have the tools. i mean it was ONLY a 30 million dollar movie, which is nothing today (Yet itl ookwed as good as any universal movie with a budget much higher).

Hmmm, I'd be slightly wary about a Halo movie. Games that are turned into films don't ring true to me, somehow.

Just brushing up on Russell's Teapot. Heard of it? :D

Xeno, i feel 100% the same as you. Games to moivesj ust dont worst, but one day one has to. Law of probability cant stay at never forever.

I'm not a Halo fan, but i love realistic, humanmanic battles (Start of Saving Private Ryan for example). And what i saw of Peter Jackon doing with what he did with Halo was pretty frigging ejaculatory ;) (I always wanted the game to have a decent plot, which has never happened, ala Gears of War and i just would like to see either turned into a movie with a plot and then laugh at the game for messing up with the chance to do so).

    I can dream.

    EDIT

I rings no bells. Explain? or link ;)

Russell's Teapot is basically one of my favourite analogies ever. It's pretty much an atheist arguement (but please don't get the feeling I'm trying to make everyone an atheist, I just think it's funny)

Again, just for humour's sake here, like the Flying Spaghetti Monster. :D

    Been up to much?

Li'l Pome only weighs 1 lb 8 oz or 680 grams. It's me that gained all the weight!! hahahaha!

And hopefully your headache goes away soon.
I've not been up to much really. Dan won't let me. Though I did get all excited when he let me peel the potatoes for our tea tonight... I'm so pathetic! haha!

What you up to then? Or trying to avoid?

Hah, I would tell you to hit the gym, but under the circumstances... :p

Plus, this gives you a brilliant oppurtunity to buy and watch loads of DVDd. :)

I'm just taking a bit of a lazy day today (nothing special, I know) because I've got a mad week coming up.

    Tuesday: Driving Lesson.
    Wednesday: Driving TEST
    Thursday: Exam Results
    Friday: University
    Saturday: PACKING.

    :D

lol the gym sounds great actually... though I think my doctors and Dan would murder me if I went! :p

I'm kind of fed up with DVD's so going to try and catch up on my reading... hrmmmm....

Sounds like a hectic week ahead of you. I'm so jealous. The only thing I have going on this week is my weekly doctor visit and shopping on the weekend... I'm so boring lol

    What you packing for? :D
