That is extremely strange. :( Do you guys personally know any cops around town? Just trying to put pieces together here.

Nope, we don't know anyone around town. And he didn't have any reason to start following us because of something Joel was doing wrong because when he first got behind us, it was at a red light.

I think he followed us because Joel was rubbing my cheek, so maybe he thought there was some domestic violence going on or something? I don't know, dude, the whole thing was really, really weird...

    *sigh*

I had to do some bricking today, which was pretty good.

    BUT

The left left side of my body is turning red. Arms, leg, face.

Put some lotion on to help treat it, but God darn, how funny i must look. half red, half white.

Never realised how warm it was today.

Concreting/rebuilding up a brick wall (Someone drove a car through it) Doing some patch up for. Nice cash in hand job. It was either me, or a brickee who overcharges.

It has been a very cold and overcast spring on the east coast of Australia. It was hot today, but i figured it was only about 70F. It always feels hotter then it is, after months of rain.

    I was wrong.

It's always raining in Ireland. At least now that it's winter. I really need a raincoat.

I'm on an RPG-forum, and there they have a way of deleting the old off-topic thread when it gets to the 100 page and making a new one, and there's a rule that one should try to comment something on the previous poster's text. I think that's a smart rule.

They should have it here too. :)

    Yes they should. :)

In other news, I'm going to take my sedimentary rocks exam today. I'm very confident about it.

Two rock types down, one more to go! And I thought I'd hate Geology. (Though I like the lab, not so much the course.)

Is it the actually the subject that you dislike, or is it the professor? I wasn't a big fan of the subject when I took Geology, but my professor made it a lot of fun, so it was easier to get into. Good teachers make everything better.

I got up this morning feeling like today was going to be a super productive day, made a huge to do list for myself, and now...I don't want to move.

    Hello.

Daniel has gone to the pub to have a few drinks with an English friend of his, as their family has just been granted their permanent visa. His youngest daughter will be happy, as she has a big love for my oldest son. It's adorable!

So yes, I'm sat at home, kids are all sleeping, Blues Festival raging on into the night and I am unable to sleep due to the constant banging of the base. *sigh* Only 3 days, I keep saying to myself, it's only 3 days a year! *sigh*

I live in the sort of town where everyone knows everyone, including the chief of police, and that idea came to mind when you said that. But nowadays, you know, the cops can have no reason to tail people. I didn't think you would do something wrong anyway. ;)

I would go insane. Earplugs? Ah, but then you wouldn't be able to hear Tobin if he cried...nevermind.

We just moved up here a couple months ago, so we don't really know anyone yet. :/ I just talked to one of my work friends, though, and he said sometimes if the cops here see an out of state license plate and the person goes to a house/apartment, they'll make note of the address and pass by a week or so later to see if they still have an out of state plate so they can report them to the DMV. Fortunately, we registered our cars here yesterday, so we were actually heading home to change our plates when he started following us. If that was his goal, he just wasted his time.

I'm getting to the halfway stage of my final year of my undergraduate LLB Bar Exempting degree at Northumbria University (just in case you were halfway interested). At the moment, I haven't the foggiest what I want to do after uni, so I'm looking around for Masters degrees I could do in law. The problem is that none of the LLMs available seem to be even the faintest bit interested in criminal law, which is the area I'm most interested in - and the only area I'd consider practicing in. The idea of lecturing has occurred to me, which is another reason why I want to do an LLM, as I'm not particularly employable with just the LLB and BVC, at least, not as an academic member of staff in a higher education institution.

So that's what I've been working on this afternoon. Leeds Met seem to have a decent one, but the prospectus is annoyingly vague about what the degree consists of.

If I recall correctly, Sussex Uni do an LLM in International Criminal Law, which might be worth a look.

So long as it's distance learning. I'm looking to either go home or stay in the north east - preferably go home, unless Northumbria do something particularly good.

Thanks for telling me about it, though.

I watched Ghost Labs on Syfy (The Lizzie Borden/Mary episode).

I do not like it. I do not like the two hosts, specifically the loud, agressive one. It's more of a joke than Ghost Hunters is. Let's recap a few things:

    Lizzie Borden Case
The loud oaf went around the house screaming at Lizzie, saying "CONFESS TO THE MURDER OF YOUR PARENTS! NOW, LIZZIE!!" even putting a picture of dead Andrew Borden on a bed while screaming "LOOK AT HIM....LOOK AT HIM!!"

He treated this like some kind of court case but ghost hunting style. He even brought in a so-called lawyer. It's interesting he went in thinking Lizzie was guilty and got the evidence he wanted so he could say she was guilty. The verdict of the case (that the court said during the trial of 1897) was "Not Resolved". We still don't know what happened.

The Hotel where Mary Died Case
Okay, so that wasn't the title of the next case, but basically they did a case where they followed the spirit of a little girl who died due to a horrifying train accident in the mid/late-1800s.

Now, I'm not a big believer of ghosts, but if I were a ghost hunter tracking down a child ghost, I'm gonna do something besides "WE'RE COMIN' FOR YA, MARY!", "I KNOW YOU'RE THERE, MARY!"

I mean, ghost or living, that's gotta scare the crap out of a child that's in an unknown place being chased by an unknown stranger.

    Worst. Ghost Show. Ever.

lol, yes. Ghost Labs. Two pudgy southern men trek around an old house verbally abusing alleged ghosts to provoke a manifestation.

One episode, the host claimed to see a head peeking in a window. Turned out to be a kleenex box on the window sill. How TERRIFYING!

Those ghost shows are far more interesting and far creepier the less they put into them. New ghost shows just don't seem to realize that subtleties are what make shows like that.

And if ghosts were real, it's probably not the best plan to annoy something already dead.

If ghosts were real they'd probably have something better to do besides haunting empty houses.

(When I was younger I wanted to be a ghost to pick on...ahem...some specific places)

It's true; the less they put into those ghost shows, the creepier it gets.

I feel rather nauseous right now. Lesson learned; don't drink a heavily creamed drink from Starbucks if you can't stomach dairy. Even if it does taste so freaking good...

Ah, that sort of thing gets me, too. Sometimes things just taste so good that it's worth feeling like crap later...

Sometimes, definitely. Like eating Taco Bell against your stomach's wishes. That crunchwrap supreme is always worth the cramping later.

Actually, this was the first time I've had Starbucks coffee since I got sick over 5 months ago. I was sticking to their tea until this point. Nevertheless, lesson learned.

You have far more willpower than I do. I tell myself once or twice a week that I'm not going to get coffee from Starbucks anymore, but I always go back for more...it would be much easier to resist if there wasn't a Starbucks next to my store. :/

Had Japanesse the other night. Loved oit. BUT, i don't know, i didnt feel well the next day, tummy wise.

Probably because i'm not used to what they served.

    EDIT

I've only ever had Starbucks once. Can't say i was to keen on it. I come from an ocean city. we have at least 50 cafe's within 15 minutes drive.
