Hey Speedy! Yeah, I never really know what hour it is in Australia- my knowledge of hour difference is limited to America really.
Australia is 11 hours ahead of UK time I think... Also, think I'm sick. I've been BAKING and have the urge to do CLEANING. So unlike me.
Ha, yeah, that's true. Haha, well, I like baking and I don't really mind cleaning- unless I really want to be doing something else at that moment. You're just turning into me.
Everyone makes a mess where I'm at, thus I'm always cleaning (mainly the kitchen). it's funny how when you do it enough times, it's really not a bad chore.
Lol, well, I guess it's up to you to decide about that. Yeah, it's not too bad- and I like kitchens (except tiny ones).
Ever wondered how writers think of their fans taking their characters and having them do things the writer thought impossible? Take The Scarlet Letter that my class has to read. I'm amusing myself by writing a "what-if" scene where physician Rodger Chillingworth and Mr. Dimmesdale were attracted to each other. This is the result. I shall spoiler it so no one will witness the horror. Spoiler Mr. Dimmesdale’s weak eyes gazed at the firm, blue gaze of Roger Chillingworth. Oh, how young Rodger looked! How plump! Compared to Mr. Dimmesdale’s withered, bony appearance, Rodger looked like a man in his late teens. “Roger...” Mr. Dimmesdale breathed, not knowing what he said. His mind was long gone, he felt as if someone else were now at the helm controlling his body. Shuffling forward, Mr. Dimmesdale held out his hand, afraid Rodger would fade away. The younger man paused, a mask of worry and alarm swept across his face. Roger saw this and felt fear himself. Had the little Pearl cast a spell on him? Distantly, he could hear her shrill laughter. There was something about that laughter that gave him chills. Suddenly, he felt his legs give out and he nearly crashed onto the hard floor were it not for Roger's swooping in to grab him. Roger held him tightly against his bosom, unwilling to let the man go. "Will..." Mr. Dimmesdale coughed, "Will you take care of my earthly possessions?" "I shall." Roger replied with a firm smile. Mr. Dimmesdale couldn't see clearly, but he thought he saw his companion's eyes glittering with tears Mr. Dimmesdale smiled, or he tried to. He always took a liking for Roger. Suddenly, an immense pain struck his heart. Mr. Dimmesdale's speech was checked as he dug his fingers into his breast. Roger tightened his hold. "Stay with me, Mr. Dimmesdale!" he said, keeping his tone as still as possible, "Stay with me!" "God! Oh, God!" Mr. Dimmesdale uttered in a strange, choked cry. "Forgive me!" Then all was quiet. Mr. Dimmesdale's arm dropped down to the floor, his head bent over Roger's arm. The man was dead. I had to stop here because I couldn't continue with this, but I will fully expect to see Nathaniel Hawthorne's ghost in my house tonight, ready to give me a hell worthy of King's The Shining.
^ Yup! I'm sorry it took so long. It has been one of those crazy days. Hope you find my reply helpful.
Lydia is trying to get to see a certain person that lives in Iowa... But well, I think I'm gonna have to be the very nice and persuasive person.
If I were your parent, I would think things like this: #1- Who is this person from Iwoa? What is Iwoa, anyway? (I'm not saying they're stupid, 'k? I'm just trying to cover all basis by assuming not everyone knows what Iowa is. After all, people think we're presumptuious, so here's me not being like that. ) #2- How long have she known this person? Is this person trusting? #3- Why does my baby want to go to some state in a foreign country? #4- I am NOT going to let my baby go to some foreign country alone!! I don't trust those Yankees to take care of her!! (Again, not saying they are like this. I'm putting myself in their shoes.) #5- If my baby is going to do this, I'm going to make damned sure she has a friend with her. Just something to think about. Convince them that you are interested in Iowa and want to go there with someone you know they can trust. Hope this helps.
Everyone knows me too well. 1. Lol, pretty sure my parents know what Iowa is, my dad's been to the US a couple of times. 2. Pretty sure I'd tell them how long I've know this person. 3. Because this baby is in love. 4, 5. Yeah, I could see that. I would take a friend with me, except that the tickets aren't exactly the cheapest things ever and... well, we'll see what my parents do say. I guess just that my parents will be pretty worried and stuff, as any parent would be. I mean, if my kid would tell me that, I don't think I'd let her go alone.
