We have king skinks, they are massive! I'd post a link to the video footage we have of two from the back yard, but it isn't permitted. Hit google, and you'll see just how big they can get... the are MASSIVE and make loads of noise in the ceiling.

I live in the lower South West of Western Australia. The town I live in is literally crawling with these lizards. They are in mass numbers all over the place. Maybe they like millipedes...

They are awesome. Not nasty, just skittish. But MASSIVE! We feed the ones in our yard. They LOVE strawberries and pumpkin. lol I just wish that the ones in my roof would sod off to the back yard.

No Lizard problem, but a huntsman spider issue. Have 5 in the house. I don't kill them, they are too friendly, but i woke up today finding one on the bed post a few inches frrom my face. They all have been removed from the house, except for one very big angry one that keeps raising its two front legs at me and sometimes jumps.

Destroyed about 40 black house spiders the other day too (most on the balcony's, near the windws). Don't like them. One bit me a few days ago while i was outside and i spend the night being sick. I wish i knew where they all came from...

I am scared to think of that outcome...
They are pretty cool. People have them as pets as well. THey are amazing to watch in the garden. Scare you at times, as it sounds like a snake moving in the leaves, but it's always a king skink. hehe!

I am NEVER going to EVER visit you now. lol! Get some outdoor stuff and spray the area every frigging week lol spiders scare the **** out of me. We also found we get centipedes here. Had one in the passage and one outside my front door. Scary looking things they are.

The lizards here are normal-sized, but I'm a big wimp when it comes to pick them up to carry them outside. They're so tiny, move too quickly. I'm afraid I'll drop them. XD

Oh, I'll pay you. And if I don't, Joel will. ;)

    Done.

Hey, I didn't think of that! I tried to find my old toy wand and come up with some sort of spell, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have worked.

I won't pick up lizards, but I will snakes. Don't know why, but lizards creep me out. Maybe it's the speed of them or something. I don't know. They are fascinating to watch in the garden though. They range from an inch to a few feet. They breed like crazy in this town.

I can just imagine you picking up a King Brown but running away from a Jumping Spider or Skink.

Did anyone hear about what happened in Wisconsin today? I saw it kinda in passing while I was getting my car's oil changed. Sounded like none of the state's senate's Democrats showed up for some kind of budget vote? I couldn't get a good indication about it from the news reporter as she seemed too busy talking about how insane it is that she ignored actually saying what was going on...

Well, I'm at the very end of Mass Effect 2, starting the big mission that will forever decide the fate of Shepard and her crew for the next game...

The House was voting on a bill that would curtail unionizing rights of government workers, and a bunch of Dems bailed collectively with the intent of dumping the entire decision with the Repubs.

Not to spawn a political argument between anyone -- you asked for the facts and I'm just reporting them. :)

On that note, it's in the 70s here! It got warm again this week. I wore a short skirt today and was not cold.

I don't run from skinks, I just watch from a distance. As for a jumping spider... I'd run away crying and screaming and hyperventilating. I removed a FB friend cause he kept posting photos of his tarantula on FB and I couldn't handle it. I'm such a wimp when it comes to spiders and have the worlds most embarrassing spider dance which involves many layers being removed and thrown as I scream, cry, freak and hyperventilate at the same time. It's sooooo shameful! But I can't help it.

I've been told the game is brilliant. Going to have to try it out one day.

From the way the newscaster was talking about it, I thought the Dems were hiding for their lives. Over exaggerate much newscaster?

Well I'm interested to see how things go. I am trying my hand at ultra minimal story-telling. I'm at 520 words right now, but I am going to try and shave it down to exactly 500 (pending feedback)

Lol, good luck. :D My little siblings thought a writing contest with 600 words would be fun. I had an awful time at it (but still finished) And, yes, as of this moment, the contest is still an on-going thing.

Micro fiction is surprisingly hard to do well. I don't think enough people appreciate it.
