Ooh, happy birthday! Sounds like a good time. :) I miss going on tour with orchestra in high school, that was always fun!

I think I can hang a spoon on my nose, I'm pretty sure I have a picture of myself doing it at Disneyland. And I should TOTALLY put derby on my resume! I'm not a team yet, so maybe I'll wait until I get drafted. ;)

I've never written a resume for myself, but we had a project in World Studies where we had to write resumes for Renaissance figures -- Copernicus was mine -- and it's absolutely awful. I hated doing that project.

I guess my resume was better in the fresher days out of college, when I even qualified for the fbi special agent interview. I wanted to be Mulder, haha. Now however its so bogged down with crappy odd end jobs that I don't know what government agency might accept it, maybe the bag monkeys at tsa again...:(

I'm writing another mystery story, set in modern times starring the first character I had created way back in 2004 but never got around to work on him.

Finally, his story will be told. :)

Maybe you should make several different resumes each listing different jobs, all of them catered to a different field? I don't know if that sort of thing is frowned upon or not, but I hear about a lot of people doing that. I work retail, though, so I've never really had to use a resume.

It seems like you have so many story ideas, I love it!

I have a story that I want to write, but I'm wrestling with my conscience about it...grr.

I'm on page two. Once I get to a good stopping point, I'll post it up for review. :D

Dude, seriously, work at a gym. ;) What is it that you want to do? I probably already know this, but my ear is throbbing and my brain isn't functioning, so I can't think...

That is a tough one, surely a loaded question. I need a Confucius like mentor to parse my fevered thoughts....

On a unrelated note, I just back from bestbuy...$60 for ink cartridges! At least I got a good walk in.

What ink does your printer use? Mine costs like $25 for regular cartridges, like $60 for the XL cartridges. I usually just wait until we've got some sort of deal at work, like you get an iTunes giftcard or free batteries if you spend over a certain amount on ink, and then I buy it. :)

If you ever find a Confucius like mentor, send him my way when you're done with him...I need one of those, too.

I have a Canon 5 slot cartridge deal, so each one is like 12-15 dollars. I was just going to by the ones I needed but since they are all low, I got the bundle for 45 and a big black one for 15....I don't even print, its a shared printer so I gotta hit up people for their share....

If not Confucius I'll even accept...Aristotle, haha.

Ahh, Canon. At least it's not an Epson, those babies are expensive! For sure, make those other printer users cough up, though...or you could just take the cartridges out when you're not printing. ;)

I'm not picky, I'll even accept James Franco. :p

I feel like such a lazy ass right now. Joel just loaded up a the truck with boxes and left to take them to the new apartment...and here I sit, posting on WF and watching DC Cupcakes.

I just got two mystery series from the library.

A mystery series by Bruce Andrews about a young boy and his companion, a blind detective named Sir John. (Hmmm...what should I do, then, about my own blind detective?)

A mystery series about none other than Abigail Adams herself!

Just made some awesome chicken and rice for dinner, and Joel hooked us up with green beans and salad. Sooooo goooood! We're sitting on the floor to eat it since we have no furniture in our old apartment and no electricity in our new one, but that just makes it special...like a picnic. ;)

We both are drinking alcohol with the meal, though...not sure if that's a good idea, considering that we're going to be moving our TV when we're done eating.

For my language arts (English/lit.) class my friends and I hafta write a play reenacting Ch. 3 of Call of the Wild, which is the one with all the epic bloody fight scenes. I had some fun with the script :D.

I really need to stop myself going to the bookshop down the road. They're closing down, and each time I go they have bigger discounts on everything. Each time I've left with a bit, hardcover book, with no consideration of when I'm actually gonna get time to read them.

I only went in for ink cartridges, too.

^ I have the same problem. I buy loads of books without any real thought as to when I'll read them, so some stay on the shelf for months that I want to read while others I'm not too fused about get read straight away. Damn habits.

Oh, I've still got books on my shelf from my birthday last August. As soon as I finish my exams and graduate I'm going to go to town on them. I'm looking forward to a summer of writing, reading and gardening.

I have self control when I'm in bookshops, probably because I'm stingy. :p But every time I go into a bookshop, I end up coming out with a massive 'to read' list. I probably look odd piling books up, then thinking 'oh I can't afford all these', so I get a bit of paper out and write down all the titles instead. :p

Oh, it's World Book Day today. Maybe I'll go to a bookshop and actually buy some books... :D

I win. I've got a copy of Brave New World that I've been meaning to read for what is going on three years now. And I need to read it soon too. I'm planning my dissertation to be on George Orwell's 1984.

I'm fairly stingy too, but it was 75% off! How could I resist that?

Yeah, I work in a bookstore...we get first pick whenever there's any kinda clearance. We have a huge one going on at the moment clearing all this old American stock. Basically, any book we want on it is $2. I've lost count of how many books I've bought, and now need to buy a new bookcase. It's more than a little ridiculous.
