@ Hidden and Ann- Well, I can PM you both the links and you can learn guitar lessons from him. I promise I won't tell him.
You say that like you're speaking from experience, but I know you could not possibly have resigned yourself to the fact that you don't sing well. Stop lurking and talk to us! That's what I thought! It seems like it would. Hahaha that would be cool! I need to get a guitar that's the right size for my tiny hands...
@ Hidden and Ann- Consider it done, madamoiselles. Well, off to study for a test in his class tomorrow. D=
Hello Jonathan! We missed you too! I apparently always miss out on the conversations everyone has... I guess I'm always on at the wrong time.
It's probably because I multi-task... The Internets can only keep me entertained by itself for about 5 minutes. 10 on a good day.
I'm staying after at work---I have an ASL class tonight at 730 (EST) but I cant go home and come back, the commute is too long. I stay after, my tuesdays are very long!
Ouch, that sucks. I feel your pain though, I used to work 19 hour shifts at my old job. Mondays REALLY sucked. ASL sounds like a fun course though! Any particular reason you're taking it?
I work at a school for deaf children, even though it's not required for me to learn, it behooves me. The kids appreciate it, some of the staff members are deaf, and people here respect it. Besides, I like a challenge. But 19 hour shifts sound awful! Were you a doctor or nurse or something? EMT tech?
Close. Research. Blood draws were killer. That's really cool. It's good that you'll go the extra mile. At one point my sister and I knew how to make the letters of the alphabet in ASL and we would try to talk to each other secretly. We were strange children.
Lol that's cute, it's never too late to learn. I'm now trying to learn ASL, Greek, Albanina, and Italian...simultaneously. Surprisingly my head did not explode, although it helps to focus more in one at a time. I'm conversational in ASL and almost in Greek but still can only recycle common phrases in the others. Tell me more about the blood research! Are you a scientist?
You're right! I've been off an on trying to learn German and Japanese. ASL would also be pretty neat to learn. Maybe after I finish my degree I'll put more effort into it. Right now I don't think I could find the time. Pushing yourself to get an associate's in a little over a year will do that to you! Haha, kinda? It wasn't so glamorous as it sounds. My official title was an Animal Science Technician. It paid for crap though so I quit to go back to school last summer. Now I'm working the IT angle, probably for Web Design.
I'm an IT tech now, but just a technology assistant at a school, so I don't make oodles of dough either. but that's okay because we're each going to write bestsellers and be rich, right
Yeah. I'm not expecting the career switch to IT to make me instantaneously rich, but it would be hard to get any lower than I was. Also computers have these nice "off" buttons which I like. Exactly! I'm working on my best seller right now. We'll make JK Rowling look poor. XD
*Sticks head out of kitchen, wearing a classical white poofy hat that somehow matches my blonde hair and pointy long ears* Never too late to have brownies!
