Mine are finished too! =D Not looking forward to finals though. I'm sitting my first exam in a sports stadium -- large course intake this year meant the college doesn't have a room large enough to put all the English students in-- and I'm more nervous about getting lost trying to find the place than I am about the exam itself.
Watching the 1982 version of The Thing. Just one question: What's the deal with the Norwegian guy trying to shoot the dog in the beginning?
^ Good, or else you might not have got your essays done. I guess everyone's having a life as it's Saturday. I've been busy travelling.
^ I haven't had much of a life today, just pottering around the house and wasting some time on twitter. I've been on here a few times today but not posted much, don't have anything particularly constructive to say today. Maybe I'll liven up a bit later after a glass of cider and some chocolate.
It's been raining here, might possibly be still raining. Also, I can't open my freezer compartment. This means I'll be having a few pieces of lemon cake for tea (I can't be bothered to go to the shops), but hey not going to complain about that. I would like to access my frozen food though.
The dog is the Thing, that's why the Norwegians are trying to shoot it in the beginning from the helicopter.
Hmmm...Well, that explains why the dog seemed to stare intently at the men when they returned from the Norwegian camp with the alien corpse... All that time I thought they were just being dicks who thought it was cool to shoot a dog, then start shooting foreigners. Still, the line "Maybe we're at war with Norway" got me cracking, that and when the guy dumped ice water into the computer machine after loosing a chess match to it.
Hey all, new here and just registered last week. I can't get on the forums at weekdays though, for lack of internet access. Sadly, (what someone else posted) sounds like I'll miss the active days of the week! Sigh. Lots of posts to read on Fridays though.
Re-watching Hunchback of Notre Dame on Youtube, the Disney version. God, I miss what Disney was back in the good old days.
When I read the actual book, I was surprised at the ending, and how much Disney lied. I like the real version better, though.
