Warm, and outdoors-y. Lots of time with bikes, frisbees, boats, and a parade. =]

    Good weekend all around.

My little brother and sister came over tonight to hang with me and have a pool party...turns out the pool was closed today for cleaning. :(

Oh well. My sister is watching Whip It, and my brother is hanging out with me while I look for apartments in Vegas.

^I looove that movie. It was what got me into derby. :) My little sister really enjoyed it, too...so did my brother, I suspect, though he wouldn't admit it.

It is just another fun American Indie movie. Hardly stayed in theaters, since no one really saw it. I sure liked it though.

Ok, sorry about that Cog, I simply wasn't aware of it.

I've never even heard of Whip It, what is it?

It's about a girl from a small town who tries to sneak away from her uptight mother who wants her to do beauty pageants and instead goes out joins a roller derby team. It's a fun movie.

That's a good way to miss a whole host of good movies. I am a former snob, and have since calmed myself down.

That I'll agree with though mostly. I am that. I just find myself liking more than hating most movies I actually go and see now. I obviously skip the garbage, but...you all know how it goes.

Agree with that, I'll end up watching movies I didn't want to see further down the line. I watch a lot of movies, so I'll see it eventually...

I know exactly what it's like: and I know what it's like when other people comment on you enjoying a film you know in your heart of hearts is appalling.

Sometimes you just need to switch off and watch people move about on a screen for a short period of time.
