Eee, what happened? My brother in law spilled a pot of boiling water on his foot last year. Had to get a skin graft and everything. Now half of his ankle is a shade of light purple.
I had to have a part of my toe removed after an accident. It was very painful, and still hurts a little. The pain keeps me awake.
Gaaah. Stay away from sleeping pills if you can. I know they have their uses, but personally I just don't trust them.
I'm not big on drugs like that anyway. I'll have antibiotics and painkillers, but I don't bother with most other types, so I don't buy them.
I don't use sleeping aids, and I usually avoid narcotic pain killers. I usually don't take anything stronger than ibuprofen (excluding what is administered during surgery and inpatient recovery).
I've never needed sleeping pills, even in some of the most stressful times of my life. I couldn't sleep a wink once because I was crying all night about my dog being sick, but that's the last time I remember not being able to sleep. I take 100 micograms of Levothyroxine daily for my severely underactive thyroid, so naturally I've spent most of my life sleeping and generally being a sloth. Anyone else rely on medication? I even get a special NHS card which exempts me from paying for any prescriptions. That's pretty sweet at least, lmao.
Even when prescribed, I tend to hold the stronger painkillers in reserve, then destroy them after I've recovered.
They put up alot of signs asking people to return any drugs they have rather than throwing them away. I'm sure it was something about recycling, but I suppose it could've just meant they wanted to dispose of them safely?
I have no idea. The last time I was in a pharmacy the only sign I saw was one kindly advising against stealing from the place. But that was when I was living in my old apartment and it wasn't a great area.
I don't normally take pain killers. But after my car accident, I was probably put on pain meds. But I don't actively search out pain medication or any other kind of medication. I let my body do the work.
I think it's both, Ash. I've seen signs like that too, and they want to make sure the containers are recycled and the pills are disposed of safely.
I use old faithful paracetimol for headaches and stuff. I sprained my wrist in my first year of uni and got some heat gel, which was just....Oooh it was beautiful. I imagine I was on some pain killers after an operation once, but I don't recall. Yeah, I'm not that clued up on over-the-counter drugs. Probably why I have a better chance at getting a crappy part-time cleaning job (providing they don't cotton on to the fact I can't do maths...) than a pharmacy assistant. See, this is why I need to get a break as an author, becauseI really am useless in other work areas, LOL. Ah, makes sense.
