    You've eaten flamingo/swan/parrots? ;o

My dad and brother had horse burgers while we were on holiday once and I couldn't bring myself to try them. It just feels wrong, even though I know I eat cows, pigs etc.

    I've actually had flamingo.

I was just being silly about swan and parrots.

Evil is a little fierce. I prefer malevolence. It's more subtle.

Malevolence also has a hint of cashew nuts which is very nice.

Damn you. :p Now I can't not see that whenever I see the word 'cashew'.

Does everyone remember their first days on these forums?

I remember. I found this site, thought it had a nice layout and decided to join. After I made my introduction thread (thought it was mandatory), I buzzed over to "General Writing Help" to ask about fantasy names.

It hasn't been that long ago since I first joined, so that's why I remember. :p

My first post was in late 2007. Jesus, has it been so long?

I remember finding this site and just wanting to be a part of it and I'm not sure exactly why I was looking for this place, but I'm glad I found it.

    Who remembers Raven?

I remember my first day. I was wrapping up college, and wanted to keep the momentum I had from writing papers, to apply it to my writing for a hobby. Mostly, I kept running into this guy Banzai, who seemed to have a lot of free time. :)

I vaguely remember a couple of people (who shall remain nameless) being around, but that whole year was all a bit of a blur, thanks to commuting to Newcastle on a daily basis. I do remember signing up because I'm fairly certain I was on an East Coast train between York and Darlington at about 7.30 in the morning at the time. And it was a Wednesday.

I have been only a member for a few months. And I remember it being well the same. People laughing at/with me because I am this nut in a shell.

So I've just joined a Lord of the Rings forum. I love reading books I like and then having all these random in-depth discussions about the characters and "what if" type scenarios. And LOTR is a perfect book to do that with so yeah (the movies, too). My username on there is my full name translated into Elvish.

    Haha I'm such a nerd...and proud of it....I do have a life/job/friends though, I promise! :D

I've spent the weekend chilling with one of my besties. She is going to reivew the first half of my manuscript (she is also a writer). She's sleeping right now, and when she wakes up we're going to this awesome used bookstore that sells $2 used paperbacks and has a fountain and cat-themed mugs everywhere.

Mallory, there is a thing called breathing. It's what we do when we have a nerdgasm. Otherwise the heighten stigmatization may hurt your nerd femur. And we don't want that.

[btw, this is all a joke]
