Has anything eventful happened in the last two days? I was away for the weekend at a relative's who has no Internet or TV (except for very fuzzy reception on 15 stations).

Hurricane Irene went to a level zero tropical storm when it landed, and look what happened... About $7 billion dollars of damage. That's more to add on to the massive debt we are in. Im watching China's every move. My History teacher even told my class we might be speaking Chinese in a few years if we don't get our act together. Of course, im not afraid. Wait, is this relevant to the conversation? Sorry, i ramble alot....

The Chinese better not do anything to us, because even though we owe them money our credit score is insanely high. They'd be losing a lot of money of they started a war with us.

Well i mean more of an anaconda plan. Where they milk us dry of money and strike us at the right moment where we can't fight back due to debt. War is all about Economic competition.

A famous quote from a Japanese soldier? Of course they know it's hard, but China is a much bigger army. But we do have better quality soldiers and technology. Japan would be the first to say that, they felt our bad side when we dropped those nukes. (Poor civilians, but we had no choice :( ) But China is a much different country. But if they ever had the idea, Japan would be on our side, i love how we let our mistakes behind us and became close friends as nations. But, if China tried to invade us they would feel the wrath of Canada and many other countries. Especially Israel.

Oh, Israel would kick some serious ass. We would also have the support from South Korea I think. However, China and North Korea are kinda chummy because both of them are communist nations, so we could face threats from bad Korea as well. I still doubt China would be successful in invading the United States. Everyone I know owns a gun, and everyone I know would fight for their country. So now we have the numbers, we have the seasoned soldiers, and we have the technology. Again I stress that China wouldn't want to lose the constant flow of money we send them.

That's true, if China was smart.. but i know that North Korea secretly hates China it's just an act. It's kinda like the Middle East expect Israel. Israel is the only one we can trust.

Since this could provoke an interesting topic all on its own, shall I make a new thread in "The Lounge" and we just copy/past our replies there?

    Well, we've killed this thread...

    Hmmm...

Here's an idea for a conversation: What is your favorite painting from the Medieval period?

There's something wrong with the Tavern, I think... it says the most recent post is by Pallas, but only my post is showing up as most recent.

So...it keeps saying that people have posted here, but the most recent post it lets me look at is three days old. That's weird.

Edit: Haha and now I can see more recent posts. Magical.

Are you looking at the thread title/last post in your User CP? Because mine does that all the time when I'm accessing WF on my mobile phone. (Never on my computer, though.)

I'll be doing that with my story's middle in a couple weeks, after I get to the "end." :)

I've written a bit of the resolution where Amos explains to the constables what exactly happened and why. Haven't written the big climax yet where he nabs the bad guy(s).

I've also sprinkled some (hopefully not too obvious) foreshadowing of Amos' backstory to be explored later. (Namely, he has some vague memory of holding a tomahawk as a young child when he's holding a replica in a professor's office, and some woman who was with an Indian man was caught staring at Amos.)

It's so hot so hot so hot.

But I guess it'll cool down a bit later, and then I shall go hang out in the city with my sister, to listen to some bands play and watch fireworks. Yup, should be fun.

Oh btw, totally random, but- has anyone seen my chainsaw lately? I seem to have lost it...

I hid it down the back of the sofa. It seemed safer :p

And I'll do you a weather swap: it's miserable at the moment.
