Ah, you see, proper rain is something I could live with. Instead it's drizzling, grey overhead, cool and windy. And it's been like this since July.
Do you know how fast it's wind speed is supposed to be? Cause i really don't like the sound of tropical storms at the moment.. reminds me too much of Irene.
Well, T.S. Lee has wind speed of 49 MPH. Nothing bad, except for a lot of rain and flooding in flood-prone areas. T.S. Katia has wind speed of 69 MPH. She's looking like she'll be a hurricane soon. =( Of course, they think she'll be whacking the eastern shore starting with North Carolina.
I live in Wisconsin, and in the Fox Valley too, so there's never anything. No tornadoes... although a few years ago there was a huge flood, but that's a rare thing. Hope you'll be okay!!
I couldn't live in a place that had extreme weather. Scary... I can't wait for it to be Monday night...I want to go home.
LOL guys.. PANSIES!!!! I used to live in Oklahoma! I kid. Well just about the pansy part I did live in Oklahoma. The weather is truly something to behold there. That F5 that leveled Oklahoma City was horrific. I was also in the big quake in California when I was a baby.. '89. I can't remember what the name of the quake was. I never can remember anything. lol I hope everyone is okay with the rain and there's no flooding!
That's good! My mom insisted we move after that huuuge quake. We were at a Chili's when it happened and things were crashing off the shelves. lol I'm glad we moved. I'd rather have tornadoes than that. Now in Texas, no rain. Pick your poison I suppose.
Here in Texas, we actually got rain like 4 days ago, but it was really early in the morning and it didn't do much.
I've not been around a lot. Lol I don't really remember California. I have dreams about it sometimes. I dream about tidal pools and redwood forests. My parents said they took me to see both a lot. It hasn't hardly done anything these past few months. It's killing my asthma and allergies. I REALLY miss the rain. I think the heat is starting to boil my brain. lol
Speaking of places we live. Don't ever live in fking Utah. It's a terrible, horrible, terrible place if you aren't religious. More specifically, mormon. This isn't my imagination either, but you are honestly treated like you're a bad person if you don't belong to the mormon church, regardless of how nice or polite you are. Oh, that reminds me. Since generally mormons are sheltered from the outside world, they are incredibly rude and seem to have no grasp of common courtesies.
The difference is that it's an entire state. The government here is also corrupted in the sense that there is absolutely no separation of church and state. The mormon church and the government here made sure that California kept gay marriage illegal by basically paying officials off with millions of dollars. This can be seen in the documentary, "8: The Mormon Proposition." So the short and simple answer to your question is yes, but just because it isn't the only community like this doesn't justify anything.
Incredibly rude and no grasp of common courtesies how so? Can you give a few examples? I just got back from partying with my friends...my legs hurt lol...it was fun, but by the time it was over I was tired enough that I was ready to get home and write
I wish I was partying with my friends... ergh, maybe after I get the routine of school and work down, I guess.
