That's how I generally prefer to spend my evenings. When I do go out with friends it's usually just one or two and to bookstores.
Bookstores are fun, too, though. I have a lot of friends with different tastes, so some of them are the very extroverted party types (which I am too, although I won't get bored with movie nights or other quieter ways of hanging out) and others are more introverted and into simple evenings in. I'm just as happy with both. As long as I'm having quality time with the friends I care about, that's what matters most.
I've been looking at colleges, and though my first choice is still UW-Madison, I'm pretty interested in Boise State.
Definitely so, Mallory! I'm more introverted. I love concerts but I can only take so much before I feel overstimulated by it. lol Like going to the mall with Zack yesterday. It was so freakin' crowded! We ended up going to barnes and noble and seeking out a quiet space. lol
Gigi - If you want any help or pointers on anything college-app-related, you can PM me. Terra - OMG! Concerts! I forgot to mention concerts, but I love them too. There's a very nice rock element in my city. I know what you're trying to say, though. Haha. That does make sense.
I hate big crowds too. I end up getting claustrophobic and it pisses me off. I don't mind people, i just hate it when everybody is in your way.
I'm short, strong for a girl, and assertive...perfect combination for shoving my way through crowds when I need to.
One of my mormon neighbors starts working on his motorcycle and revving it up at 6 in the morning almost every morning. Another comes over to the house every week or so and complains that our lawn isn't mowed. Whether it's very slightly overgrown or not. He mows his lawn every three or four days. The same one has trained his dog to shit and piss in anyone's yard but his own. I know this because I watched him give treats to him as soon as the dog came back. Another that lives behind us has a child that chased my little sister in-law with a knife, and when his mother was approached by my mother in-law, she proceeded to call her white trash and called animal police out of spite. A mormon guy that lives a little further down in the neighborhood was irritated and angry that I had very slightly chipped his brick mailbox when I apologized for doing it because I ran into it with my bicycle and broke my wrist, cracked several of my teeth, had stitches in my swollen tongue, and so on. When I say very slightly chipped, I mean it was almost not even noticeable. All these neighbors attend the same church and gossip about others in the neighborhood. In my father in-laws apartment complex, our shih-tzu was attacked by a pit bull, and all the people could say for themselves was, "I'm just dog-sitting! It's not my dog!" Our dog would have been easily killed had someone else not picked the pit bull up by the skin of its head and threw it about 10 feet away. By the way, she does live there, and so does her dog. And I know she's mormon because she had the mormon bible in her apartment when I needed to use her phone to call my father in-law to take us to the animal hospital. It also didn't even cross her mind to help pay for the incident, although I could have sued because it wasn't on a leash. I am honestly shocked and surprised anytime someone says thank you when I hold a door open for them, or when someone holds the door open for me or my girlfriend. People do this all day long where I'm from. I really could go on more if I needed to. But, I don't. I've been told by my girlfriend that mormons outside of Utah generally aren't like this. I wouldn't know because I lived in Saint Louis for most of my life. Oh, also...My ten year old little sister in-law has been told several times by mormon children that they couldn't be friends with her because she wasn't mormon.
I rev my scooter up at 6 in the morning every Saturday to go to college. Not sure how this makes someone annoying. What if he's got to go to work? And if you know his schedule don't you think you're a little stalkerish?
Dude, holy shit. Get the hell out of there. And my sister has been bothered by mormons before, and i was in the car with my mom and one of them were walking and gave me the dirtiest look ever. I suggest you move out of there, Mormons in Utah are F***ed up! Well, atleast those certain ones anyway. Do you plan on moving out of there anytime soon? Cause moving out of there will definitely be the best thing for you and your girlfriend./
A scooter isn't a motorcycle. He's been retired for about 10 years. I wake up when he revs it, otherwise I wouldn't know about it.
LOL it's weird because the nerve damage has weakened me significantly. Then there are times I have small bursts of energy where I can do stuff like that. lol I kicked my bf's ass one time. It was hilarious. Unfortunately I think his roommates were enjoying it a little too much. Then again Zack would never hit back.. but he was surprised at how I can have small bursts of strength. Then I get so tired I about pass out. LOL HOORAY FOR SHORT PEOPLE! I'm short toooo! LOL Gigi. I'm always loud. I'm great at unintentionally making a fool of myself. My friend Katie said it's part of my charm. hahaha
What I meant is the bolded part. You know his schedule. So you're a bit stalkerish. There is no getting around that. lol. A scooter isn't a motorcycle, but think about it: -I gotta open the fence -Open the garage doors -Turn on the lights You don't think my neighbors may wake up and get annoyed from time to time? edit- Hooray. I'm short as well. And that is cooltastic for me.
I know this because he used to talk to my father in-law, and mother in-law. They've both lived next to each other for about 25 years. You're going to know things about your neighbors when you live next to them for that long. Also, I don't see any significant noise being made from turning on your lights and opening a fence. He has to open his garage and rev his motorcycle though, instead of a scooter.
Yeah, it's pretty incredible. We're actually stuck in a very hard place right now. My girlfriends parents started going through the divorce process about 2 years ago. It's still not sorted out. Since then I moved in with them and I've been having to be a dad of sorts. So, for that reason, it's hard to get a job. I'm afraid if I do my little sister in-law will be left alone with her mother. Who is a terrible house-keeper, cook, and person in general. We are looking though, and hoping something comes up. We'd actually like to try and visit Australia to see if we like it.
The part of you moving out of Utah is music to my ears. What has happened over there isn't something to ignore or embrace. Hopefully everything else turns out ok.
Glad someone isn't pointlessly arguing with me over this. Bottom line, J.P. is that Utah is not the place for non-mormons or non-religious people, motorcycle or no motorcycle. It's not "Stalkerish" if I overhear something about someone. If you don't think making your motorcycle rev so loud it wakes neighbors is rude, then you are probably not a very generous person. Not to mention all the other things that were listed were much more irritating, and display the behavior I was trying to get across much better. Also, let's see how many damn posts can get deleted by these mods. Who wants to start the count?
