In the long term, keeping the work experience I have set up is more important than the £200 a week I'd have got from this post.
When I was fifteen, I met a guy at a youth journalism organization I was involved in. He was my group trainer, I remember. I also remember thinking he was really cute. We were more friends than anything else, but we flirted sometimes, and I had THE biggest crush on him until we were 17 or 18. At our graduating senior luncheon, he gave me a kiss on the cheek, and I never saw him again. We're still friends on Facebook though. 19 days ago, he became a daddy. OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS. It's so weird. People my age have babies, and want to have babies, and plan for babies. o__O
Haha, yeah it seems so weird to see people I know getting married and all. Guess it'll still take quite some time before I get married (IF I get married).
So glad I can finally access the site again! I was kind of freaking out for a while there. I missed you guys D:
Merc, one of my best mates got married 2 months back. He's only just turned 22. His wife's just turned 21 in the past week. I'm older than him, and I'm not even thinking about getting married for another five years or so. So that puts me at 27, and a few more years then before kids come along (30+). It bothered me once, but it doesn't any more. I'd rather have the life experience on my side rather than going into something like marriage or parenthood without having had the chance to live my life. Being a dad at 17, 18 would have been horrific for me, and the kid wouldn't have stood much of a chance. Think of the chance you have to live your life to the full, unencumbered by kids and blokes
Hey guys, I fairly new here. I signed up in January but haven't actually start using the site until a week ago. I have to say that I'm digging the site. Tell me something interesting!
I think my email inbox is actually sobbing... I sent out 152 FoI requests today. So 152 acknowledgement emails have been drifting back to me over the last two hours.
^ Crazy. Welcome, slurpy_NinJa. As for me, I've signed up for two societies - tennis and badminton. It's my final year at uni so I thought I really should since I've only been to one in my first year and I was too scared to go back after I didn't go for a couple of weeks. Now the question is 1. If I go and 2. How long I end up going for. Badminton is tomorrow and I haven't played for about four or five years so it'll be interesting to see if I'm still any good (was quite good at badminton when I played at school).
@slurpy_NinJa: Something interesting? Well, way back when, Hitler tried to breed an army of talking Nazi dogs. Trufax.
@ suddenly BANSHEES: Was that during the same time the Japanese military were seveloping death rays? True story. Awesome name by the way! @ Eunoia: I've never played badminton but I have played tennis occasionally. A lot of people think its a pansy sport but its hardcore.
I'm great, thanks! Though a bit tired and a bit bored. I guess what's why I'm on here. ^^' I haven't been active in quite some time, before the change actually...
yeah, I signed up in January but haven't been on the site until 2 or 3 weeks ago. Apparently alot of people don't like the changes and I can't really remember what it used to look like.
It just takes some getting used to... People don't always like change (and neither do I). Though the only problem I had with this one was the new layout hid the "Remember Me" box beneath an advertisement... But that changed the other day, so I started posting again. Heh. ^-^'
