    Well, I'm still alive...

It went quite well, I think. I wish I'd had a bit more time, to go into a bit more depth about all the things wrong with it, but I didn't panic or freeze up. And the councillor who was on later was unable to rebut my claims that the scheme is illegal.

Glad to hear it went OK Mat! And wishing for more time - that'll happen with young, not-so-established polemicists. Especially with the subject you were talking about. It's actually pretty great you got the slot, judging from my own journalist experience, so well done. What radio show was it on?

It was on the Andrew Peach show on BBC Berkshire. It's a sort of news discussion show, reasonably widely listened to locally, which is a plus.

Hey guys! I'm planning on getting a tattoo, the phrase jai guru deva om from The Beatles's Across the Universe. It means 'hail to the divine guru.'
Problem is, most internet sources write it as जय गुरुदेव ॐ, but I don't want to get a tattoo which really means soup. :p
How can I be sure that जय गुरुदेव ॐ is jai guru deva om? It's been nagging at me for quite a while.

    Google it. :)

Make sure your tattoo artist can render the Sanskrit accurately!

Well, I plugged my printer into an old desktop I have and...it started to print a journal I had forgotten about waaay back in 2010! Talk about creepy and cool at the same time! 8D Now to staple it and put it in a safe spot.

Have your printers done anything like that before?

Like it was saved in the print queue on the old desktop?

Earlier this month, I was sleeping in the office at home. The family had been printing large documents all day but had finished. None of us are sure what exactly happened, but one moment I'm sleeping, the next the printer went off and scared the living daylights out of me. At first, I thought they had printed something via the wifi... except they denied it while laughing at me, and the darn thing only printed the middle of a document, missed the beginning and ending of it.

Link, that's really cool. I'd be a bit spooked out if it was at night though, esp. if I'd just watched a really creepy horror movie or something. But otherwise I'd think it was awesome.

I am slightly worried that I'm using 21.7 percent of the 2.2gb dropbox offers. The worry is due to the fact that it is nothing but word documents. I think I'd rather see the actual usages instead of such a large percentage :(

My god, getting over my ex-girlfriend is hard. I've been trying my absolute best, but I still keep thinking about it.

    ^ I can imagine. :(

Well, I'm slogging through the Michael Collins movie with Liam Neeson. It's okay. Feels rushed and unpolished, though. I have to watch it and compare it to Peter Hart's book Michael Collins and see how they're similar/different.

It's still raw so I'm not surprised. It is really difficult to get over someone. I'm still not over my ex and I broke up with him about ten months ago.

I never had a girlfriend...at least not yet.

I am afraid of, if it ever happens, the pain I'd feel if my future girlfriend decided to break up with me. From what I understand, it's a very, very painful feeling.

    Oh dear...

I know the feeling, mate. I've been having a crap time romantically for about the last five years, but there's nothing that hurts more than a break-up. Just keep yourself occupied and let time work it's magic.

Your time will come. :) And I like to think the happiness you get within a relationship is worth whatever pain comes afterwards.

    Aye, agree with this.

Well. I'm beginning to properly get over it now, today was just a bad day I guess. A mixture of Nietzsche, Dante, ChannelAwesome and Scotch is healing all wounds. That and I've been talking to an old female friend who is very dear to me - we have admitted to each other if we both were single we'd give a relationship a chance. I've began talking to her again, and I'm enjoying catching up.

True. I hope that, whoever I end up dating, we have a good time together, even if it isn't for long.

@ Lemmy- That's good! Keep on doing that, and it'll go away.
