A bomb scare? That's so ridiculous. And illegal. Insanely illegal.

People can be so silly sometimes.

Well today is off to a good start. I find out that a guy I know is actually called Greg, not Brian as I've been calling him for two years!

In my own defense: I'm the type of person where lots of people will know my name, but I don't know theirs, so I'll get people coming up to me and saying 'Hey, you alright Mike?' and I'll say 'Hey ... guy(!?!?!)'.

Well, Brian and Greg aren't that dissimilar...

    Cheers, Brian!

Nonononono. Your name IS Brian. Your true name. You parents got it wrong.

    Salud! Guinness for me, please.

So where's Dante? There's still an empty chair at this table.

That's a good question. He's usually pretty punctual on here.

<Walks in with own Guinness> 'Lo, everyone! What's up? I'm enjoying my volunteer work at a children's library. Sad that it's going to end soon. :( Maybe I can work out a way to return next semester!

In other news, I am anxiously awaiting the release of Dragon's Dogma next week. Glad I have this work (that I do enjoy) to speed up the wait.

Well, my contract ended three weeks ago today, so I'm job hunting. Have a couple very promising possibilities in the pipeline, though. Much of it is a waiting game. Patience is my friend.

Yeah. I'm trying to find a paying job/another volunteer job this summer, when the one I have now ends. I don't think I can endure yet another three months of doing absolutely nothing. It's just not fun anymore. :< I have to be doing something to get me out of the house!

And no, I don't have a driver's license yet. :( I'll be working on that as well, this summer.

I'll be graduating in a month, and it's looking very likely that I'll get a solid 2:1 degree. Not bad. I'll just have to see the marks I get for my dissertation, and last assignments.

That does look good. To be honest, I can't wait for E3 this year. Apparently Valve are showing something, and I am desperate to find out what that is.

I never find time for gaming. Right now, I'm configuring a server, doing some Java programming, listening to a soap opera in Spanish, and popping in here from time to time.

Gaming isn't something I do very much, but when I do it's usually strategy games like the Total War series and Civilization, or a good horror game. For me it's something to do to unwind and relax, since I don't like TV (aside from the news). Valve though is a company I have huge amounts of respect for, the Half-Life series has, to be honest, one of the best stories I've ever enjoyed.

Well, I'm renting Max Payne 3, to see what all the fuss about this series is about. I've enjoyed Rockstar's previous games, so I might enjoy this one.

Because it offers an escape to a realm unlike the real world. A realm where people can obsess about the same meaningless things without fear of criticism or mockery. 8D That is why, Miss Lydia, the internet is so distracting.

I work from home. At this moment, I feel like a Hermit.

Excel is the devil's software. Why do I remember it being easier to use a few years ago?

Totally hid my tears from my little cousin whilst watching "My Girl". She looked bored. What is happening to kids today?! Why aren't they sobbing at My Girl?!?

    Poor little Thomas J! :(

^ Never even heard of 'My Girl'. :p

I'm feeling like that right now. I'm going to give it until the end of the month and see if I can land a job by then, but if not I'm going to have to find some voluntary work otherwise I'll go crazy. Plus, I kinda need to because it'll look bad on my CV if I haven't done anything since leaving university.

Last exam over, complete overhaul of my life here I come. Started my first cut today, embarked on a new eating regime, and will hit every club from here to Portsmouth between now and uni. Bring it on.

Well, to be honest, it takes a lot for a fiction to get me to start crying. Usually, I just get pissed and hope a horrible death occurs towards the character(s) I'm angry at.

When they're older or if not now, break their Iphone, Ipad and they'll cry! Or beat you up, even if they are little.

Edit - been ages since i've really been on here. have no idea how to quote people now.

Hello. A wayfarer adrift, I just joined after my old forum was slated for shutdown. My name is Darkkin. I have been writing and weaving stories as long as I can remember. I have degrees in English and Creative Writing. Due to a severe cardiac condition, I am limited in the number of things I am allowed to do, my characters, not so much...(Insert minor bout of maniacal laughter). I have an entire series, the Darkkin Chronicles, well underway, with the first two books complete. Glad to have found this forum and hopefully I will find my feet soon.
