Good. I'm enjoying the weekend. I spent the whole day travelling to an oratory contest and didnt even place. it was fun though. I am trying to work on my novel which isn't exactly a novel yet its more like a chapter, but i have a horrible case of cronic writer's block. i think ill try to focus on poetry for a while.

Hi Danni. Have you read John Green's latest, Will Grayson, Will Grayson? I haven't yet, but soon hopefully. [For those who don't know, DFTBA--don't forget to be awesome--is the anthem of nerdfigthters, and nerdfighters are part of John Green's crew, lol. I count myself among them. :D]

Heya, Mingo. Hope all's good with you. :)

Awesome. I'm okay. My boyfriend is out of town, so that's a drag, but it's my chance to catch up with homework and finish my book. What's new with you?

Welcome to the Tavern, Dannielle. This is a good place to get to know some of the members on a social level, instead of just as writers.

I'm Dave, and I hail from central Massachusetts, so we're in the same time zone. I hope your visit has been pleasant so far.

    Ha, yeah. :D

Looking for Alaska is my favorite of his novels. It's a lot more grim than the other 2, but more intricate a story and well written.

Oh I'm just working a few poetry pieces and editing a few stories. Hoping the guys want to do a poker game tonight...and vainly trying to catch up on a little homework as well. =/

I think I have a worse one. Since Spring Break, which was about a month and a half ago, I've played in about thirty poker tournaments. Bit of a problem I would say, bad I have a damn good time nonetheless. =]

I have no idea how to play poker, but I think I may have a knitting problem. :p

Seriously, I'm knitting my 5th (ever) scarf, and this one is a MASTERPIECE. Only about 6 or so inches so far, but it's a new 19 stitch experiment instead of my usual 16 stitch template. My mom, who the scarf is for, wanted it wider so I added 3 stitches. You wouldn't believe how much difference that adds!

And my mom picked out this different brand of yarn from the stuff I usually use and it's SO SOFT and the prettiest dark red, and I don't think I'm going back to the old brand. :p

You guys should see this. I'm thinking we aren't having school tomorrow. I've never been so happy to live on top of a hill.

Weather has been especially freaky this year. How are things where everyone else is?

It's got a lot colder this year. Apparently it's because of global warming.

But Nighean was stuck in her house for weeks at the start of the year.

That's crazy. I think I'll be fine stuck in my house as long as I have food and internet.

They just opened the civic center in town as an emergency shelter.

That pet turns out to be a rock and you discover that this all happened back in the sixties.
