Try "The Tetherballs of Bougainville" by Mark Leyner if you are after humour. Also, you can't go wrong with Kafka's "Metamorphasis & Other Stories." Or anything anything by Will Self.
I'm a bit of aficionado when it comes to weird fiction. I have to say, if you want to go completely like mind warping weird then pick up Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs - that pretty much takes the cake for weird fiction as far as I'm concerned. Some others you could try .... Anything by Phillip K Dick (personal favorite) Anything by Charles Bukowski (another personal favorite) House of Leaves (as already stated) The Illuminatus Trilogy American Pyscho by Bret Easton Ellis Behold the Man by Micheal Moorcock Crash by JG Ballard Just some off the top of the head, I'll probably think of more later - and oh I see people are starting to mention graphic novels - there are plenty of weird graphic novels .... pretty much pick up anything by Alan Moore, Warren Ellis or Grant Morrison and you're in for a ride.
