Thirdwind will be taking over the Poetry Contest which kinda' lapsed for a bit. Thirdwind has been a mini-mod for us in the past and a proven asset to the team. I know he'll be happy to get feedback from the forum as to how to get the Poetry Contest going again. Wish him well.

As of right now, I'm planning on starting the next contest this Friday, and poems will be due in about two weeks on May 25th (Sunday). How does that sound? And should we have anonymous submissions like we do for the other contests? Let me know if you have any other comments/questions.

I also noticed that the poll is still open for the previous contest, and there's currently a 3-way tie. It'd be great if we could break the tie so that the winner can get his/her medal and pick the next theme. The poll will remain open for the next 36 hours so that everyone has a chance to read the poems and vote.

Technically, I wasn't promoted. I already had mod powers in Book Discussion from back when I was running the short story/book clubs. It's just that no one noticed I was a mini-mod until recently.

I just noticed we got new smileys. Sweet.

If something should happen to me, @minstrel and his army of squirrels should be the number one suspects.

 

"Army of Squirrels" would be a good name for a rock band.
