Brother is making ox tail. Can't eat that cause of personal reasons (non religious, but some would think it silly), so he's also gonna make some pork chops for me. He an I haven't had a brother dinner in awhile, last time I beat his ass so it wasn't pleasant. Tonight will be different. I'm looking forward to a good meal.

Oh, he's making rice and beans on the side. Very Hispanic we are. :p

  2. The concept has always kind of weirded me out, and I'm a confirmed carnivore.

The first and only time I had it was on a school holiday. I was a vegetarian at the time, and had no idea what I was eating. I stopped when I found out though, but it was really nice. :bigoops:

It does to me as well. Still eat meat (Pork, Chicken, cat, dog. :p ), but a word once given....

Side note: Never eat salted Jellyfish. Grandma just gave me a scoop and I threw up.

Edit - fucking phone messed up a word...

    Yep...
Yep, me too. The fact that it's shaped like...sliced tail...is a problem. 'cause God knows what's in some of the other stuff I love (and I do not wanna know).
IKR? Osso Bucco over polenta was really trendy
in the late 90's, and it was on the menu at almost every fine restaurant in town. It's a really nice dish, if you can get past what it is.

I made Oxtail Stew a number of years ago. It was wonderful, very rich meat flavor. I don't see oxtail in the store often, and when I do, it's always when I'm looking for something else. But I would make it again without hesitation.

You really should try it, but I do understand just being too icked out to even face (so to speak) a food item.

I'm making Mexican "pizza"--Mexican-American ingredients atop a tortilla. It's in the oven right now. When it comes out, I'll throw in a sheet pan of curried cauliflower and carrots to roast for some dishes later in the week.

Yep, that was the inspiration! I'm allergic to their 3-cheese blend, though, so I use different cheese and Pace salsa and add a bit of sour cream when it comes out of the oven. It's a good use for that last tortilla or two left in the package.

As someone who has excatly two tortillas left in the packet thank you for that idea. Might try that tomorrow.

Just kinda grazed on leftover deviled eggs throughout the day today. Did actually buy egggs today so back to regularly scheduled omelette tomorrow.

That looks like a school lunch I once threw into a deans face. He later told me it was as nasty as it smelt.

But on the topic of tacos - That'll be dinner today. Chicken tacos with sour cream, yum.

I didn't cook but my better half brought home some oysters 'to try'.
If I want to recreate the experience in future I'll simply drink seawater from a dirty ashtray :dead:

No but I'm doubtful it would have improved the experience very much!

Turkey soup with leftover Easter turkey. It's been simmering in the crockpot all day. Yum.

Common sense is telling me no, but curiosity keeps telling me yes. Story of my life, really.

Well, we're told that curiosity killed the cat, not the dog. So you might be ok. :p
